September 18, 2025 The following is a complaint of the condition at the Clarion Inn & Suites located at 2000 N Main St. Roswell, N.M. 88201 from September 11 to September 14, 2025 Reservation confirmation 31242486 Expedia Itinerary 7302620634745, Rm117. I checked out 10 am MT on September 14, 2025, due to the condition of the room. At 78 years of age, I have traveled extensively roomed at several hotels in the U.S. and had never been so very disgusted, disappointment and uncomfortable as at this hotel. The itemized conditions were experienced. 1. TV remote control was intermittent with function. After some time, I opened the battery compartment only to find the springs holding the batteries in place were worn to the point any hand movement would dislodge one of the two batteries. Resulting in both hands were needed to operate the remote. Maintenance person replace. 2. Room thermostat was set at 76 degrees no changes could be made to the temperature or on vs. off switch Never felt an air flow from the vent. 3. Bathroom sink without a stopper, risk of small objects (I.e., medication, jewelry etc.) falling into the trap making recovery impossible w/o removal of the pluming neck. 4. Bathroom exhaust fan inoperative. An overabundance of steam and unusual odors are present. 5. ¾ roll to toilet paper in holder no extra rolls present. 6. Room was OK, but the property was run down and poorly maintained. Examples include a broken window and missing spa timer in the pool room. The breakfast items were basic and poorly prepared (eggs, gravy, juices). Was there for the air races. We booked early and paid just over $100/night. They were advertising rooms at $350/night once they go wind of the event. What a rip off!

This hotel is HORRIBLE!! NO one should ever stay here again. Rooms AC DONT work!! Pool was GROSS … dirt on bottom. Hot tub BROKEN and half full. Staff could care less. They were RUDE and told us “OH WELL” when both rooms we tried would not get cooler than 78 degrees. Total BS!!! Will be fighting for my money back.

Felt like I didn’t want to touch anything it was so dirty. A general sewer smell was present in the entire facility. Breakfast was very limited and we didn’t dare eat there with the sewer small. Outdated bathroom fixtures too.

Room was super hot, over 85 degrees and smelled like dirty wet clothes. Took over 3 hrs for it to be somewhat cool. Bathroom was old and dirty looking. Hotel, hallways and breakfast room were super hot. Flies were the only ones enjoying the food. Only thing good about this hotel is the polite staff.

Staff was super nice. We booked separate from a friend who joined us late and when staff saw we were together, got us rooms next to each other without us asking for that. She was super nice and didn’t have to do that but took the initiative.

Room was very spacious and clean. The bed was extremely comfortable. Everything worked to my satisfaction. Very decent breakfast. The property was nice and clean. Quiet. Numerous dining options within walking distance

Great location and friendly staff, but was given wheelchair access room which meant the shower was pretty hard to use and the room next door kept us up half the night as ypu could hear every little noise, as well as the hallway.

They had a nice little breakfast bar. The pool and hottub were nice, although the jets are not on in the hottub. I loved the real trees and plants in the pool area. They do not clean your rooms daily so if you need anything (clean towels, toilet paper, more coffee, etc.) then you have to ask and they will get it for you. Staff was very friendly and nice.
