"We had a wonderful 5 night stay. A quiet village on the edge of the moors with cozy country pub. The pub food was spectacular! I’m not exaggerating… the chefs are top notch. The pub staff were so friendly and helpful too. The room was comfortable with a full king size bed and small well stocked kitchen. If we lived in the UK, we’d visit every year! As Canadians, we’ll have to wait till “next time “."

"A lovely hotel in a very beautiful location. A perfect place to stay if you want to walk or explore the local area. The walk down to the waterfall was good though not one for everyone, the last few meters up the valley over rocks was a bit of a scramble and you definitely want to take it easy on the walk back up the hill. We saw a barn owl hunting in the fields behind the hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Nice garden that was well maintained."

"Such a lovely traditional pub with good accommodation, situated in a pretty rural setting, a short drive away from Pickering. The staff were all really friendly and helpful. My husband and I had an evening meal in the pub which was excellent, as was breakfast the following morning. Pet friendly. Would definitely recommend the Horseshoe Inn."

"A good location with car parking at the back. Comfy beds, although our room was a bit small. If we had have been staying more than one night we would have wanted a bigger room. The food for breakfast and dinner was of good quality and the staff were very friendly. A large beer garden at the rear and a large screen to watch the football on."

"We stayed for 5 nights. We moved from a standard room at the front corner of the hotel as it was noisy and claustrophobic. The en suite having been built into the corner of the room , so all the other stuff ie chairs table wardrobe were squeezed in. The poolside suite which we were kindly moved to was new, spacious had air con and walk in shower ,……. stunning altogether! Such a difference ! Could not fault it !!! It was so hot when we stayed, so made good use of the outdoor pool. Bar area had...
