This cabin is available year long -

Welcome Boaters, Vacationers, Hunters, Skiers, Relaxers & Snowmobilers!!!

4 bed 2 bath family cottage, 3 min walk to the beautiful Higgins Lake with community dock. newly redone fire pit, large yard, plenty of out door seating on the large deck, nice and quiet area. 6 mile drive to the Silver Dollar Bar and Grill. 5 mile drive to the public boat launch with plenty of parking. There is no boat mooring at the road end doc. Our place is not a party house, it for people to hang out and have fun. We ask that quiet time is 10 on week days and 11 on weekends. We have neighbors that have been there for along time and as our guests we ask that you to respect them. Public areas like the dock need to be repected and know that its used by many and many houses are around. Please refrain from using cursewords , there are kids around.

Great cottage. The bedrooms are spacious. The kitchen is well-stocked with cooking equipment. We enjoyed the large bonfire pit and dining room table outside. Very clean overall.

Our family had a great time for a long weekend at the cottage. We did some kayaking on the Ausable River, fishing on the lake and spent lots of time around the fire pit. The house had a few quirks, but that is just a function of being an older house. It was very well maintained and clean and had plenty of beds for our extended family to sleep in. The owner provided clear instructions and was prompt with communication and responding to questions.

The cottage ..

3 senior ladies.. we enjoyed the cottage..had breakfast in.. lunch either took orpur food for picnic at beach or ate out in Sutton bay. Only thing the ladies asked me to mention was the rugs in kitchen & bedroom next to bathroom…. The rugs are a Slip / trip hazard and we moved them during the stay & put them back. A rug is nice but one with rubber back that is stable would work better. we enjoyed it.. mah Jongg every night & the cottage stayed cool as it sits in the shade .

Lots of room at Higgins Lake

The cottage is roomy with plenty of space for a group/family. Clean and comfortable, central air for the hot days. A large enough deck for sitting and eating. A great fire ring for gatherings. The lake is clean, clear and sandy! Can’t beat it!

Awesome fire pit! I wish they offered wash cloths and bat/beach towels, because they take up a space to pack. Otherwise everything else was wonderful.

Great house near Higgins lake

This is a nice 4 bedroom house walkable to Higgins lake. It is in a very quiet neighborhood. It has amazing water pressure in the showers. There is plenty of room for large groups. There is a large fire pit with plenty of seating. Firewood not supplied but you can buy it for 6 a bundle. No bath or hand towels. Shallow water for quite a ways out but very clear. Overall great place to stay.

This place is awesome! No details have been overlooked. Bed was super comfortable, as well as sheets, bedding, pillows, etc. nightstands, counter space, drawers…all plentiful. The kitchen is well stocked, which is super nice that you don’t have to run out to the store for those items. Great communication with host. Would definitely book again!

Take your families!

We frequent the Higgins Lake area a lot least 3x a year, staying in various rentals. We have never stayed in the same one more than once. This property will be our new favorite home to book. It’s centrally located close to sxs trails, close to the lake, so clean, fully stocked, with an amazing outdoor fire pit area. We had 2 families staying in the house. LOTS of beds with any and everything we could have needed. We loved the bathrooms. Not everyone in Michigan knows how to bathroom, but this property did. I don’t have a single negative thing to say. It was a perfect Memorial Day weekend. Thank you so much for hosting us! Can’t wait to book again!

Whitehouse cottage

My family said because of the flag and the house being big and white on the outside, that it looks like the whitehouse. Lol. It was so cure and cozy. Beds were amazing. Loved being there. Thanks Jillian!!

Wonderful, relaxing girls trip

We had an amazing time in this very comfortable and cozy. The kitchen is loaded with almost everything you need. We brought so much extra stuff we did not need, there is even a crockpot! Beds were very comfortable. The fenced deck is wonderful for the dogs and babies. This was such a great place to unwind and reconnect. Thank you!

Great place for a gathering

Everything was great except the parking. Had a great time, we went ice fishing and just hung out in the cabin. The amenities were great, they had everything we needed. The parking is on a steep incline and is enough for about 4 vehicles. I'd suggest 4x4 for the winter. Overall great experience.

Great get away

Even though we went in the off season we still a relaxing week. I would like revisit during late summer or early fall and bring up are boat. Had lots of fun with the granddaughter in the snow.

Winter weekend at Higgins Lake

The cottage is lovely. Exactly as represented. Well-maintained, well-stocked. We were able to make Christmas cookies, go sledding and make s"mores outside in the snow. Located just a short drive to Hartwick Pines for winter hiking. Easy check-in, excellent communication with host.check-in, great communication.

Friends

I was looking for a place to get away for a few days, where my college friends and my High School friends could meet and relax. You place was great for us We are all in our 70's and had a great time. My Colege friends were from Texas and my High School friends are from the Thumb area of Michigan , I am in Midland ,Michian Were stayed there for 4 days and 3 nights. I would recommend this house.
