"Great location nearest excellent eateries on Crossing Street and fun shops. Wonderful sweet room. Only complaints is there was this creepy light that shined over the bed for a few minutes when you turned out the light --super creepy and the people in the house above us came in very late, like 2am, creeking about so awoken and for some of us, it's hard to go back to sleep. Wash available if your mid trip and need to wash your things. Super convenient and cozy. "

"I really enjoyed my time at the KEX hotel! The rooms were kept nice and the bedding was so good. (I stayed in a shared room) The bathroom was clean, the food was good, the drinks were good! The staff were so kind! The only con is the parking…there isn’t a designated parking lot for the hotel and most of the time i had to circle around to find a spot. "From the check in with Vance, to the breakfast crew in the mornings (really sweet hospitable folks), to the friendly housekeeping staff... Everything was what I needed it to be. I have no complaints and would absolutely stay here again. Only downfall, there was no pool; However, I didn't come for that, so all was still awesome."

"Had an unplanned layover in Portland while getting repair work done on my Sprinter Van. An employee at Outside Van recommended McMenamins Edgefield and really glad I chose this place. Unique lodging experience and fabulous dinner and breakfast at the pub and restaurant in the main lodge. Much better than staying at a chain hotel! Would have liked to take advantage of the billiards, but didn’t have anyone to play with. Would definitely stay here again if I’m in the Portland area!"

"Room was nice and clean. Staff at breakfast was very helpful and friendly. Front desk staff could improve on friendliness. Parking was horrible. Apparently the parking lot on the north side of the property doesn’t belong to the hotel so you can’t park there.. I had to move my car and the only spot available was way on the other side of the adjacent Best Western hotel. There is no signage on the north side of the Spring Hill suites that says you can’t park there. I only found this out as the...

"Fantastic and unique hotel with tasteful decor and a great location. The staff was overwhelmingly friendly and accommodating, and the hotel room was clean and modern with an awesome view. Also the free cold beer at check in was a nice bonus after a long travel day. Solid 5 stars. "
