FALCONS VIEW: Spacious Studio with Breathtaking Views

Falcons View is nestled in the Ruahine Ranges. Private and elevated there are views of the rolling rural landscapes from every window.
The Studio is a low voltage off-grid system. There is a Queen Bed, Self-contained kitchenette, wood stove, gas cooker, and solar lighting. It still gets reception for most mobile internet technology. With access to native bush walks, hiking trails, and local wetlands, there is plenty to see while you are here, but take a break; genuinely rest. Unplug and slow down, that's what Falcons View is for.
A significant highlight is the OPTIONAL outside Wood Fired Hot tub that can be requested for $150 hire.

We loved our stay so much it was the perfect romantic getaway!! Access to private trails around the property was so special. We spent time birdwatching, taking in the beautiful native flora and fauna and enjoying the breathtaking view from various lookouts. In the evening we lit the fire and enjoyed some cozy movie watching inside the cabin. So perfect all around thank you!

Tidy spacious bach in the middle of the bush. Fantastic views every way you looked. The woodfired hot tub was amazing after a bush walk. Absolutely incredible weekend getaway. Would recommend to everyone!

This place is a hidden gem. One of the best location and accommodation we've stayed so far. Amazing view of the sunset across the horizon. It was also raining throughout our stay and being in the hot tub while raining is just so relaxing. We'll definitely be back here soon.

This is such a beautiful place to reset and relax! We loved the wood fire hot tub so much and the fireplace inside was so cozy. The views and sunsets were amazing, we are speechless and can not wait to come back again soon. The bush trail was super fun to explore as well. Thank you so much for sharing such a beautiful spot .

We had an excellent experience at Falcon’s View for three nights. Will be back! The cabin is private, clean, and has an amazing view. Great walking trails from the cabin leading further up in the mountains. The spa pool was the cherry on top.

A wonderful place to be in. Very well maintained. All one needs is there, all one wants to escape from isn't. Perfect place for two but be prepared for long chats in the spa pool while the evening sets in. Don't forget the red wine, the next supermarket is a wee bit away.

Great little hidaway in the foothills Ruahine forest park. Fantastic views on a clear day.We drove our 4x4 car up to the cabin but that will not be suitable for everyone, so it is great that the host comes with a sidebyside to bring you and your gear up to the cabin. Had a great walk up in the hils behind Falcons View.

Such a lovely place to stay! Kitchen utensils all stocked and two gas cookers to cook with. Bed and couch super comfortable, and lots of firewood outside for when we ran out. ATV ride up and down was a great part of the experience and all our luggage fit! Wouldn’t bring too many perishables if staying longer than three days as even the best chilly bin can’t keep milk cold for that long!

If you want to be remote from the world and just enjoy being together in a simple but very well presented cabin then this is for you. We played cards, read books, loved the wood fire and cooked up some good food. The walking track out back was a bonus. While out walking I spotted some deer grazing in a nearby paddock. The spa pool option which we paid for surprised me. Arriving on a very cold afternoon to find that we had to spend two hours stoking the fire to warm the water was a surprise. I'm not sure what we paid for but we never used it. It would have been great if it had been warmed up on arrival.

What a View

Stayed with my partner for a couple of days and deeply enjoyed it. We really needed to rest and Falcons view was the perfect spot for it. Orelle and Hamish were really friendly!
