"The location of the house is excellent as you can easily do day trips to the north and south of the Island and to Adventure Bay. It is a few minutes walk to Hotel Bruny which has fantastic meals. The house has a wonderful view looking back to the mainland and of Satellite Island with a deck at the front and back of the house which is perfect to avoid the wind depending on the direction. Both decks have outdoor table and chairs. The kitchen was well stocked and the furnishings very comfortable....

Our comments from the previous review still applies, but in short - prepare for an old draughty house on the river side. Bring sleeping bags if you are sensitive to the cold. "Outside looks like a little old shack. Inside is lovely and comfortable. It has been made very homely. Reception isn't great in the area but there are dvds and books, some beach toys to keep the kids entertained in down time."

"A wonderful place to stay and everything you could think of was provided. Loved the Milo, chocolate and wine! The only improvement was the description in relation the 4th bedroom in what was advertised as the library. We did not realise it was not in its own room, but part of the lounge upstairs. "

"Beautiful location, we sat and watched the southern lights from the verandah. Short drive to Cockle creek Good fishing around the corner off the rocky point as well as off the jetty. Would definitely recommend. "
