"Checking in was rough at Hotel Riu The unfriendly clerk asked for my credit card which I didn’t have on me immediately so I went out to where my husband who was in the rental car(just got off a 6 hour flight.)He came in with me and gave his card and it was approved. We both went back to our vehicle after getting our key cards and the male clerk chased behind me and said my card didn’t go through. I ( felt like a criminal)so I followed him back in. "Hotel room was okay but nothing special for the price. There was some kind of event going on in the hotel and we could hear loud music, people singing karaoke and people giving speeches for several hours. Impossible to relax or sleep. Wouldn’t stay here again"

"This motel has easy FREE parking, it is clean, safe, and well presented and maintained. It is extremely well positioned where walking to great hang outs is easy, and driving to great places is equally as convenient. The rooms are not huge, but large enough for a five night stay. I highly recommend the Star Motel."

"If you have a meeting at the Presidio, the location is hard to beat. You can roll out of bed and practically be there. Like many hotels on Lombard, this Travelodge is pretty basic. If you are looking for a clean room with a decent shower, you should be pleased. The one aspect of the room that I give a terrible rating to is the wi-fi system. It sucks. "The room was nice enough, it was the size of the coat closet. The people in the next room I could hear their conversations all evening long. Additionally, Room 201 is right next to the elevator mechanical room so you hear that noice constantly when trying to sleep. Couple that with Room 201 directly on the street right above the entrance to the hotel. Extremely loud."

"The hotel does not have someone at the front desk at all time so you have to let them know what time you will be arriving so they can check you in. They do have water and coffee and there are places around the corner to grab breakfast, but the hotel itself does not have a restaurant."

"This is a charming, older hotel in the Lower Nob Hill neighborhood (at least that’s what Google maps calls it). Spotlessly clean and very comfy. Small kitchenette with mini fridge, microwave, sink and utensils. Plus a nice neighborhood market next door. And the almost new windows open for fresh air, although it’s San Francisco, so probably a little chilly most days. Great for those on a budget. Front desk folks are very helpful. Loved it…and the two elevators are a step back in time!"

"My partner and I stayed 2 nights and loved it here. This place had what we needed to rest after enjoying the city. We got lucky and found a free spot for our car and parking was free. Our room was clean. We didn't get a balcony but the walkway to our room was basically like a balcony. Loved that Pier 39 was just a 20 min walk away. So much to explore nearby that is walking distance! Would definitely stay here again."

"Got located to street side room with one parking garage(small car stall) unit 49 Overall room was okay. Some dirty door handles and kitchen utilities. Room it self was okay but the noise level and next door noise drove me crazy. Next door unit 50 looks like long term stay. Beer cans all over the haul way and cigarette butts every where. During sleep (late night) woke up to next doors noise. Some foul languages and cigarette smell would come in to our room I do not recommend this hotel to people...
