"This is a very old, historic hotel so I came to it with some skepticism. I had some family visiting from the East Coast and wanted to spend a few nights in San Francisco and usually stay in the large chain hotels. "The hotel does not have someone at the front desk at all time so you have to let them know what time you will be arriving so they can check you in. They do have water and coffee and there are places around the corner to grab breakfast, but the hotel itself does not have a restaurant."

Additionally, Room 201 is right next to the elevator mechanical room so you hear that noice constantly when trying to sleep.
