Welcome to Los Palmares! If you’re looking for a quiet tropical getaway, you’ve come to the right place. Los Palmares is located in Punta Negra, along the South Shore, in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. This corner unit condo has a spectacular panoramic ocean view from every room. The condo is right on the beach, with the ocean in front and the tropical rainforest behind. Your just steps away from the beautiful turquoise ocean water and sandy beach. Located 3 miles (6 kilometers) south of the Old Town along the Mismaloya. Los Palmares has a large open air palapa that operates as an oceanfront dining restaurant that serves breakfast and lunch until 3:00p.m. The restaurant will even bring your food and beverage poolside or deliver it to the condo. If you’d like to venture out, there are many restaurants (local and international cuisine), shopping areas, art galleries, nightclubs and outdoor excursions. There is a bus stop in front of Los Palmares for a quick ten minute ride into town (busses run every 20 mins). Taxis are also available. A one way trip will cost approx. 70 cents by bus, $9 by Uber or $10 by taxi. Come and experience the gentle ocean breeze, the sounds of the tropical rainforest, and the colorful sunset.

Amazing place to stay! The views of the ocean were beautiful, and it was peaceful and away from the crowds. The staff was friendly, and Sherrie communicated wonderfully throughout my stay. The beach was great and the condo itself was amazing, clean, comfortable, and perfectly located. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed our stay very much. The view was amazing and the condo was very spacious. Every room was perfect for us. We loved how there was a room with single beds for our kids and its own bathroom. The air conditioning really made a difference, and we liked how easy it was to change. The decor was good and made a homey environment. The rental also included some beach equipment that came in handy. About a ten minute drive to town. We miss it already, definitely worth the stay!

Beautiful and so relaxing

Incredible spot to enjoy the beach. It is a very relaxed atmosphere, and the pool was never too busy. There is a delicious restaurant on site, but it closed for orders by 3pm. However, there is another restaurant in walking distance on the beach just south of the condo open late. Beautiful condo and very responsive owner who helped us find shopping locations for a forgotten swimsuit. Sherrie gave excellent suggestions! Uber drive is easily accessible, but Uber Eats will not deliver - nor will Didi. I did not find any food delivery so plan your grocery trips well!

Great spot

The rental is a corner unit with a living room balcony that has an incredible view of the ocean, beach, mountains. The breeze was perfect, so A/C was never used. The unit was very spacious, had comfy beds, & lovely artwork. Kitchen was well-stocked as far as tools, dishes, gadgets, but this is the 1st vacation rental I’ve stayed at that didn’t have any basic seasonings - not even salt & pepper! While the living room was decorated nicely, As mentioned in other reviews, we were disappointed in the old “lawn” chairs & table on the balcony. This outdoor space really could be the perfect extension of the living room, but didn’t feel like it because of the older chairs/table. But we did have a wonderful time & did enjoy the rental. Just a few ideas for potential upgrades. I wouldn’t hesitate to rent here again! Thank you Sherrie & Eloisa!

Lovely Condo

This clean, good size condo has spectacular views from its large windows and balconies. The kitchen is well stocked and twice a week housekeeping is provided which is unusual for a VRBO. The owner Sherrie is accessible and responsive to any and all questions or concerns. Her property manager Eloisa and maintenance person Victor are committed to you having a wonderful stay and are the warmest, nicest people you will ever meet.

The views are amazing! The building is quiet and grounds are secure and well maintained. Sherrie was always very responsive from the time I booked and during my stay. If you are looking for a quiet spot close to PV, this is it!

Awesome Playa Punta Negra Condo

This corner unit has an excellent view, the living room and open patio floor plan was perfect. Plenty of ocean breezes combined with the fans made it pleasant, we only used AC at night in the bedrooms. Well equipped kitchen with dishwasher, washer and dryer available on request for longer stays (we did 9 days). The beach is amazing. Very uncrowded, public access at the north end got a little busy on the weekend, but it was fun. Some table vendors and mainly locals. Swimming is great. Water was warm, waves fun for body surfing. Areas of the entry points into the water were a little rocky but doable, find the sand channels for an easy in/out. The infinity pool is sweet. Huge and when we were there we basically had it to ourselves. One of the things we were really looking forward to was the large palapas restaurant with breakfast and lunch service. We took a taxi into town every day ($120 pesos to romantica zone) and ate amazing food, grocery shopped, but having the option at the building was nice. Unfortunately the palapas is no longer standing due to the hurricane last October. They still did service though, you can order online too. As another reviewer said it would be nice to see the patio furniture upgraded. That view with margaritas on the patio watching sunsets every night is a huge reason for booking this place. Wifi was only really useable in the living room area where the modem and router are. A cheap upgrade to a mesh system would be thumbs up!

Just Perfect

Charming condo with incredible views facing the ocean AND looking off down the coastline. Having the restaurant on site was nice and drink/food good. If we would have been staying longer would certainly of utilized this benefit. We stayed less than a week and loved how we could easily navigate up and down the coast and into PV using the bus system. The beach was peaceful and so pretty- we both agreed we would be coming back and plan to stay much longer. The owner was helpful with all the information she provided, the property manager stopped by and was helpful as well. About the only things I think could be improved upon are patio furnishings- that view is worthy :) and my husband struggled with getting Wi-Fi in the master bedroom. We visited PV area for couple of weeks, between a Sayulita condo, an adult resort and this location. We plan to return here!

Gorgeous View

Loved this location! The condo building was lovely and only a few minutes south of Puerto Vallarta, away from all the craziness. We had a rental vehicle but taxis and the public bus went by regularly and were easy to flag down. The condo itself was directly above the beach and the views were gorgeous from every room and especially the large outdoor balcony. The pool area of the building also had lovely views and was great for cooling off and relaxing with a drink and book. The beach in front of the condo had very few people at it but was by far one of the nicest stretches of beach around Puerto Vallarta. The waves were calmer and we spent a ton of time playing in the water. Our host was excellent and ensured we had everything we needed. We would highly recommend this property!

Spacious condo with beautiful views

This was our second time renting this condo. The condo is very spacious and features views out to the ocean/bay on two sides. The pool area is heaven - huge infinity pool. It is an easy trip into town. We went into town every day - sometimes once in the morning and then back again for dinner. Ubers, taxis and the public bus are easy from this location.

We just love staying here in this spacious home, looking out over the beautiful ocean, catching a view of the odd whale, not to mention going to sleep with the sound of the waves. We’ll be back for a third visit!

Pure Relaxation

Another absolutely wonderful stay in PV and Sherrie's condo. There isn't a more perfect beach and the pool area is perfectly quiet and not crowded and it's as if you are sitting on the sand. The staff at this property are incredible. I can't say enough about Sherrie as a host, she is responsive and truly wants your stay to be wonderful. We pick this condo every time , it's like our home away from home!

Would recommend

Nice stay in gated area with great view. To get to the city or grocery shopping, you would need a driver or Uber. However, this comes with having quiet, nice ocean waves sounds, and beach view on your days in. The internet was fast and convenient but it doesn’t quite reach the master bedroom. Very easy and quick responses from the owner with clear instructions.

Beautiful

The photos do not do this beautiful home justice. The apartment is incredibly spacious and so comfortable/well appointed with non stop views. Listening to the crashing of the waves was lovely. The pool is wonderful and the beach wows. Our expectations were met and more! Thank you, Sherrie, for sharing your space with us. We thoroughly enjoyed Los Palmares and staying on the best beach in the greater area.

The perfect retreat!

This property is a dream. It was the perfect setup for our family of four. We enjoyed the ocean breeze, falling asleep to the sound of the waves, and watching the dolphins in the morning. The beach is the best we found in all of PV! The condo was very clean, full of light, tastefully decorated, and well stocked with good linens, comfortable beds, games, DVDs, and clean drinking water. Keep in mind the location is rather remote and you will need to take an Uber, taxi, or bus to get anywhere. The on-site restaurant (Palapa) is very good and reasonably priced but is only open from 9-3. You can walk to dinner at a small open air restaurant about a quarter mile south of the condo. Sherrie was the perfect host- quick to respond to any concerns and was happy to accommodate my request for a late checkout since we had a later flight home. This property was the highlight of our trip to PV and we look forward to returning!

I very much appreciate Sherrie’s quick responses, insight and tips for our stay. Hector, the property manager, was also in communication as needed. The property itself is beautiful and I would definitely stay there again. It was a short bus ride to Zona Romantica and Boca de Tomatlán. I highly recommend!
