Nestled in the heart of downtown Portsmouth near shops, restaurants and nightlife, this immaculate 3rd floor loft apartment with a private outdoor deck and amazing morning sunlight will be your perfect place to make home when you're not exploring historic Portsmouth.

Our home is a well equipped 1 bedroom apartment with high ceilings and large windows that provide for a bright and refreshing feel. The space includes a private loft for 2 extra guests and 2 full bathrooms.

Our three favorite aspects of the home are the private deck with amazing views, window view from the loft and the gas fireplace in the master bedroom.

We are extremely close to the local beautiful beaches and parks and our home provides easy access to the entire Maine/New Hampshire Seacoast which makes this spot perfect for small groups, families and couples.

Our entire condo is available for you and you will not be sharing the space with anyone else.

Our home is in the heart of downtown Portsmouth, near market square. City noise from the street and nightlife should be expected especially on Friday and Saturday nights.

Great place! The only thing that wasn’t clear to me is that one of the beds was a futon. It was tough for two adults to sleep on it. It was not very comfortable. Other than that the location was amazing and the place was very clean. I would consider renting it again.

We enjoyed the Downtown Escape in Portsmouth. The cleanliness and comfort in addition to the ease of check in/out with our host Darryl. We were conveniently located to all that Portsmouth has to offer from the beautiful seaport to the many fine restaurants and shops. Portsmouth is a walkable city with much to see and do and we easily got our exercise in outdoors with the beautiful summer-like weather we had in October. We felt very safe and comfortable here and the locals were very open and friendly. We would highly recommend this place to stay and visit Portsmouth.

For a last-minute booking, this accommodation was a real gem. Lovingly furnished with a large kitchen, we were able to get the day off to a great start. Portsmouth is a beautiful place with very friendly, open people. We had a great time staying at this accommodation.Thank you for everything!

A little piece of Paradise in New England

I traveled to Portsmouth with my adult daughter for some much needed girl time. This property was in the perfect location in beautiful Portsmouth. The apartment is lovely and the beds very comfortable. The host was amazing and checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. I will definitely stay here during my next visit to Portsmouth.

Great Stay!

Great stay! Location couldn't have been better. We had everything we needed & as advertised. The deck was a bonus. It was great to relax out there after walking around all day. We dropped out bags off first and then parked in the free lot which was just a few minutes walk away. Definitely would stay here again the next time we visit.

In the Heart of Everything!

My cousin and I enjoyed a girls' weekend in Portsmouth. The property was within a mile of all the spots we wanted to check out, and the condo was appointed with nice furniture and art, upscale appliances, and some extra treats! The owner was friendly, helpful, and communicative, and he went out of his way to offer tips and suggestions for our stay!

The perfect spot in Portsmouth!

Hi. My wife and I and our adult son stayed here for a few days of exploring the Portsmouth area. What a perfect spot! The unit was exactly as advertised and in an excellent location downtown. Walkable to all shops and restaurants. We had one minor issue with one of the toilets and the host response was quick and the matter resolved. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it!

Good condo and a good location

Nice condo in a good location. Very much central walking distance to all shops and restaurants in downtown Portsmouth. Lots of stairs, so it could be a little tricky with luggage and also the spiral staircase going up to the bedroom on the second floor. There is a bar down below that plays live music and it can get pretty lively until kind of late but other than that it is a great place to stay

Great location, iffy parking for long stay

Location was fabulous—very walkable to shops, restaurants and bars. The property was as described in the listing but it’s important to know there is no free on-site parking. And while the free public lot is quite convenient there is a max stay of 72 hours. For a long stay (ours was five nights) it becomes iffy since that free lot was full or maybe one/two spots open anytime we’d go by. Had to make sure to move the car around after certain amounts of time. At the property some of the bathroom finishes needed work: both toilet seat covers were old and the plastic was peeling off. The toilet paper holder in one is installed upside down so the roll would fall off to the floor each time. Kitchen was missing some items I’d expect, like tongs and cheese grater so had to improvise the night we cooked at home. Was also missing wipes or a counter cleaner for cleaning up after cooking so just went with paper towels and water. Would rebook for a short stay but not for a longer stay with the parking issue.

Had a great time in Portsmouth lovely apartment for four of us …location perfect to visit places nearby and lots of bars and restaurants nearby..Spanish meal in Cava was best..can be a bit noisy from the press room but didn’t really bother us to much..

A perfect stay

I was in town for 5 days for my brother’s wedding. After traveling all day I arrived in Portsmouth at 9:30pm, tired and hungry. I parked right in front of the apt, stashed my bags, walked next door to The Pressroom for a quick dinner, slept soundly on the comfortable bed, then rolled downstairs for delicious espresso and pastry the next morning at Kaffee Vonsolln. This would epitomize my stay-convenience and comfort. All of Portsmouth proper is at your fingertips There is some noise at night from the businesses nearby, but I found it appealing rather than intrusive. I had concerns about parking, but this was a non issue. I parked in the free lot on Parrot Ave for much of my stay (72 hr limit) and street parking is free overnight. Darryl is a terrific host…attentive, accessible and helpful. Thank you Darryl. ;) I honestly cannot wait to return.

Lovely Stay

Our stay in the Downtown Escape was perfect! After a 7-hour drive, we were delighted to see how clean, cozy, and well equipped our accommodations were. The location was perfect, upstairs from a fantastic coffee shop and within walking distance of all the sights and sounds Downtown Portsmouth has to offer. I am so glad we chose to stay here.
