"I really like the people that run it ...you can have a laugh and a joke and their professional. I love the quirky old fashioned styling but it's done in a modern way. The menu seemed basic but the quality of the food was fantastic everybody should try the prawns starter !!! Two dislikes Coffee machine in room too small difficult to use. The noise of extractor fans outside the windows was a constant drone but okay if you're used to noise and not from the quiet countryside. I'm definitely going...

"Exeter's high street offers just about everything that mortal man could conceivably desire: pubs, cafes, outdoor clothing shops, shoe shops, a cathedral, banks, bookshops, homeless people, record shops, Turkish barbers. The staff of the Turk's Head were consummate professionals: the one who showed me up to my room offered to carry my suitcase, gave me a tour of the premises, and recommended their favourite ice cream shop. "Booked as got stuck on the A303, nice staff, great breakfast and hard to argue with the price. My only minor criticism is being 6’3 the light they’d fitted to the single room was basically at face height so I cracked my head a couple of times getting in and out of bed. Otherwise would recommend for a cheap stay."
