"A very warm and friendly place to stay."

"Room was great. Clean, with a comfy king bed, big screen smart TV, and a big bathroom with a nice shower. The breakfast was fantastic. Only negative was that the whole building was very very warm without it being hot outside (15c outside in June). It had an air conditioner unit in the room that blew cold, but it was very loud. Needed it running constantly otherwise the room heated up very fast from the rest of the building. Bring ear plugs and you'll be fine."

"A few things to be prepared for. When you arrive there is no front desk. You have to carry your bags up approximately 12 steps, no ramp, no wheelchair access. If you wish to park underground you must buy a parking pass otherwise it is street parking. We had two rooms, one the cleaners had missed a dirty towel behind the bathroom door, a blind was missing off one window, The TV was totally unplugged including picture and sound we had to painstakingly put it back together while standing on a chair...

"It was a nice setting and helpful staff. What I didn’t like was the room was an odd layout, crowded and a mattress that continually slid off the bed. The TV situation does not work well at all and needs an upgrade desperately. The hotel provided generous snacks and a gift certificate to a delicious bakery for breakfast. I think overall it is okay but quite high prices for the standard of hotel"

"Great cozy lodge! The staff and owners were very friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast was provided. The entire felt historic, rooms were cozy, and the views you get from the rooms and the breakfast dining room was amazing. Parking was slightly uneasy as there wasn’t markings outside of the lodge, during peak or busy summer times, if all the rooms are occupied, be prepared that the parking space outside he property will all be occupied too. Driving into the lodge was a long 80km/h road...

"The room was comfortable and well located in the middle of the town, Golden. I didn’t realize the River View was on a public footpath/walkway, right off the main through road. It was difficult communicating with staff - there is no onsite staff and they didn’t answer the phones, but did respond to text messages after a delay. Parking was however easy and right around the corner from a tasty bakery."

"close to highway but still quiet in Building 2. Room was a bit in need of repair. No closet and the open clothes rack was falling off the wall. One of the two queen beds badly needs to have the mattress replaced Breakfast room is very small. Go early to get a table."

"The room we booked was not as advertised. The listing was for a king bed + sofa bed, however upon arrival we were informed there was no sofa bed and the room only had 1 king bed. Floor in the room was sticky."

"Not the greatest location outside of town; have to drive to get anything. Also NOT a great place to stay in winter; all rooms open directly outside. Paper thin walls with loud guest = poor sleep."

"Room was uncleaned even bathroom door was broken so that we couldn’t close the door tv wasn’t work service was really bad I am not going to recommend for this hotel."
