I originally booked with another hotel, but after breaking my leg, they couldn’t guarantee an accessible room. Twin Mountain had no issue accommodating me. When I arrived, they already knew about my situation and had reserved a ground-floor room right next to the parking lot and elevator. I was genuinely impressed with the care and service.
The room was spotless with great amenities. The shower was especially helpful- handrails, a chair, double shower head, and plenty of space. There were two sinks, lots of room to move around, and the balcony had a beautiful river view.
Parking is open. A few covered and handicap spots exist, but they go quickly. There’s a spot directly in front of the elevator with space marked off, and I wish that had been designated as handicap- it would’ve been ideal. Still, the lot had cameras, was well-lit and clean, and they issue a placard to confirm you're a guest.
My only real complaint: people smoked on the balcony above me, letting ashes fall and tossing cigarette butts in the grass. The room next door also constantly smoked. I have a history of cancer (more cautious about exposures) and am very sensitive to the smell, so it bothered me a lot more than other people. The hotel has no-smoking signs posted, but staff told me they can only remind guests (they did) since there are no cameras on balconies. I wish enforcement were stricter, especially in such a great facility.
Overall, very happy with the stay. Would stay there again.
