"Amazing new property that keeps large groups in mind. Beds were plentiful and comfortable. We enjoyed that we could all sit together to eat. We had 16 in our group. We liked the 2 level lighting and the Sonos sound system. We were right on the lake and rented a pontoon that we were able to dock right at the house. There were also kayaks. We are looking to come back next year! Would 100% recommend. "

"I spent every summer of my childhood in Oakwood, so I know the cottage well. It used to belong to Rev. Ross Cook. My grandparents were George and Marie Cook (no relation to Rev. Cook) and they built the cottage at 1019 S Lake Dr. They worked at the old hotel every summer for decades. My dad also worked there during his teen years and so did I. I loved the view of the park. "It was a very nice place to stay while visiting Chain O Lakes State Park. I stayed here with my father when we weren't hiking. The place is small, but efficient with its use of space. It was very clean, and the checkin/checkout processes were simple and easy.We were able to cook our own breakfast each morning, and relax on the couch and watch TV each evening. "This was the perfect stay for our family of four (parents and two teens). The kitchen was just the right size for vacation cooking and the grill was nice to use for a couple meals. Beds were comfortable and the deck was the best part. We ate every meal outside, watching the sun change over the water. The kayaks were a huge draw and we used those extensively. The bathroom was spotless and just the right size. Definitely would recommend. "

"It is a bit small and the beds are full size, not queens. We found a couple dead fish rotting in the yard and fortunately found it before our dog did. We didn't really get to ride on the pontoon bcuz it wasnt running properly, but the owner was super gracious about it and gave us a full refund on the pontoon! He seems really nice. "
