THE RETREAT, an Executive Custom Home in Estrella Mtns!

Welcome to THE RETREAT! Approach on the circular drive and exit your car by the fountain. Enter through the private court yard and be amazed as the home opens up into the expansive living room featuring a gas fireplace and two seating areas. The windows draw you to the outside living spaces with a large zero entrance pool and the water slide with its own pool. Enjoy the sunsets and mountain views while relaxing by the outdoor fire pit. The outdoor area also features a newly added pergola area for dining, a built in gas grill and pass through to the gourmet kitchen. The kitchen features a giant granite island as well as Viking appliances. Just off the kitchen is the theater room. On the other side of the home is the expansive master bedroom with fireplace and huge master bath featuring loads of custom tile work. Each bedroom has its own bathroom so bring your friends and family.
Our Home is only 15 minutes away from the spring training home of the Cleveland Indians and the Cincinnati Reds.
Do you love NASCAR racing? Phoenix International Race Way is just 15 minutes away. Hockey?
The Arizona Coyotes Arena is 30 minutes and Phoenix University Stadium. Sky Harbor airport is only a 30-40 minute drive.
We are only a few blocks from Estrella Mountain Lake where you can go for leisurely walks. You are sure to unwind and enjoy your time at THE RETREAT!

NOTE: Your safety matters. This property features 5 exterior security cameras: 1 camera is located on the front of the home facing the front entry, 1 camera is outside the garage, 1 camera is in the back of the home facing the highest platform, 1 camera is outside the master bedroom door facing the pool and 1 camera is on the side of the home facing the edge of the pool and pool equipment. The cameras are outward facing and do not look into interior spaces. The cameras are solely used for maintenance purposes, liability purposes, and to just check in on the pool lighting, and outdoor lighting.

QUIET TIME is 10 PM!!! The HOA is very strict about this! YOU will fined $1000 for breaking the sound level after 10. This is as easy as talking.
All activities should be moved into the house at 9:45 PM to respect the Quiet Time!
Do NOT wear suntan lotion in the hot tub. If you do, the water will turn green by the next day. The hot tub tech only comes once a week.

Estrella Mountain Oasis – A Private Slice of Paradise! From the moment we stepped through the doors, this Arizona retreat felt like our own private resort. Privacy & Comfort: Each spacious bedroom came with its own luxurious bathroom and walk-in closet, giving every guest a sense of privacy and comfort. It was perfect for our multi-generational family getaway. Gather & Indulge: The chef’s kitchen was a dream—fully equipped and ideal for preparing meals together. We spent countless hours in the large indoor and outdoor gathering spaces, creating memories that will last a lifetime. Resort Vibes: The resort-style pool and private movie theater were absolute highlights. Whether we were lounging poolside or enjoying a family movie night, every moment felt special.🤝 Exceptional Hosts: The hosts were incredibly attentive and accommodating, making sure our stay was seamless from start to finish. Great House

This house was great. We enjoyed the pools, hot tub, putting green and movie room. It was a great house for our family of 8. Plenty of room to hang out together or by yourself. The property book could use update directions for the pool.

Could have been better

The house looks much the same as the pictures but onsite the cleaning could have been better. Showers and toilets could have been cleaner. Instructions regarding lighting and turning on pool heat were vague. We paid extra for pool heat and could not use the pool until Friday night as it took so long to heat. We expected the heat to already be on but I guess that’s not how it works? We had to call to ask about it as my messages got no response. Even then we had to send pictures to make sure we were doing it correctly. As I said, it’s a beautiful home but not quite up to expectations. We discovered that there was still garbage left there when we took our garbage out on Friday night…never had that happen before. Also, there was a cord across the steps leading up to the hot tub that one person tripped on. Fortunately they were not hurt. There are also no bath mats provided, only these bamboo mats next to the tub. I slipped and wrenched my newly repaired knee. Not pleasant. I had to have a towel on the floor after that. Just not the greatest experience we have had in a VRBO home…

Wonderful home

The house was beautiful and very functional. Great for our family of 6. The pool and putting green were a bit hit for kids and adults. Generous outdoor seating areas were lovely. Hosts were very responsive to all of our questions. Highly recommend.

What a great trip!

We rented the home for our family of four and it we could have easily shared the house with many, many more people. The home was in a beautiful location with gorgeous local plants and very well-appointed. The pool and the movie theater were a family favorite as well as the birds and lizards that visited the patio. Thanks so much for hosting us! We will be back for sure!

Outstanding Retreat.

Beautiful property with plenty of space to spread out. Children loved the water slide and pool/spa. Bonus theater room was a blast! Owner was responsive. Would recommend this property without hesitation. We hope to have the opportunity to return someday.

Perfect

This was the perfect place for us to spend Christmas week with our kids and grandkids. Everyone had plenty of space, the beds were very comfortable and all the tools we needed to cook Christmas dinner were there. The weather was warm enough (for Northerners) the first days so we enjoyed the pool, slide and hot tub. When it turned chilly, the fireplace and theater room were favorite places to hang out. Anne and Kevin are great to work with and quick to respond when we had questions. We are so happy we chose their home out of all the ones we looked at in the Phoenix area. Thanks again!

The Retreat is an amazing property! It has everything you could want for a family vacation!!

Our sons and their wives traveled from New York City to this lovely home. The environment is spacious yet cozy. It has every amenity you could possibly want! Everyone had their own bed and bathroom. Jogging around the lake in the mountains, the tennis courts, and hot tub we a plus. We had late night fires in the large fire pit with plenty of seating space for our family. The sunrise and sunsets were increadible. We had dinners both in doors and out, the home had plenary of seating to accommodate our large Thanksgiving family gathering. We enjoyed multiple televisions and play space for the children who came for dinner. Two large fireplaces made a great backdrop for naps and intimate conversation. What more can we say, we LOVED it and hope to return again. Kevin and Anne are wonderful host. Thank you again for a beyond great home away from home.

Amazing place to stay

I can’t say enough good about this property and the owners. Kevin and Anne are very easy to work with and readily available to answer any questions. The property is in a quiet residential neighborhood 3 blocks from a lake with a nice walking path and beautiful sunsets over the mountains. The house was very comfortable with plenty of sitting areas inside and out to gather as a group or have some quiet time taking in the beauty of the property and area. The backyard is awesome with the pool, hot tub, waterslide and fire pit. There was plenty of patio furniture if you want to sit and soak up the sun or relax in the shade. The kitchen is every cooks’ dream and well stocked with plenty of cookware/dishware for feeding a group. The bedrooms were very comfortable with each having their own bathroom. If you need a place to stay in the Phoenix area, I highly recommend this house! I know I will be back!!

The Retreat is awesome

The Retreat was an awesome place to stay. You instantly feel comfortable. It has a "homey" feel to it even though it is a large house. This spacious home has so many great things to highlight: 4 spacious bedrooms with their own bathroom, dreamy kitchen, living room, theatre room, not to mention a great backyard with a pool, waterslide and hot tub. They even have an outside grill for you to use along with plenty of patio furniture for you to sit, eat & relax. Kevin & Anne were very easy to work with. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to stay in the Phoenix area. I know I will definitely be back! Nicol B.

Beautiful, spacious and relaxing!!

Wow, what a beautiful property! The bedrooms were all spacious and each included your own bathroom. The pool and hot tub were delightful and we even managed to squeeze in a night around the fire pit. There is plenty of room in the house, that we never felt "on top of each other", even with 8+ people. The large kitchen allowed us to save some money by cooking a few of our meals. Within just a few minutes of The Retreat, you have access to a grocery store, shopping, a walking trail, hiking and more. And then a short drive to anything you would like to do in Phoenix. We explored the Deer Valley Petroglyphs, the Phoenix Zoo and Estrella Mountain Park when we weren't relaxing around the pool or watching a movie in the theatre room. We very highly recommend staying at The Retreat; Kevin and Anne were wonderful to work with!!

Awesome Vacation Home!

This place really is a retreat and like being at your own private resort! The backyard was amazing with the pool, waterslide and hot tub. Plus it had multiple options of places to sit and relax outside. The house was very spacious with lots of room for everyone to spread out. The house was fully stocked with everything you could need from the kitchen to the bedrooms. If you are looking for a great place to stay I highly recommend this house! We cannot wait to return.
