  • Nestled against a stunning mountain backdrop, this beautifully appointed single-story home offers the perfect retreat for your next getaway. Located just two blocks from Four Peaks Park, guests can enjoy easy access to walking trails, sports courts, and a children's playground. Outdoor enthusiasts will also appreciate the nearby hiking and mountain biking opportunities at McDowell Mountain Regional Park, as well as several exceptional golf courses, including SunRidge Canyon Golf Club.

    After a day of adventure, unwind in your private backyard oasis featuring breathtaking mountain views and a sparkling pool. Lounge poolside, relax beneath the covered patio, or fire up the grill for an alfresco dinner under the Arizona sky.

    Inside, the home features a fully equipped kitchen complete with a suite of modern stainless steel appliances, making meal preparation effortless. Gather around the dining table with seating for six, with additional seating for four available at the kitchen bar. For a quieter moment, enjoy your morning coffee or evening cocktail in the charming enclosed entry courtyard furnished with seating for two.

    The property owner is required to provide guests with important safety information and outline responsibilities under the Town of Fountain Hills Town Code. Guests must certify compliance with all applicable regulations. This property may not be used for any nonresidential or otherwise prohibited activities as defined in Fountain Hills Town Code Section 8-6-5. Violations may result in civil penalties starting at $500, in addition to any other applicable fines or enforcement actions. Housing registered sex offenders at this short-term rental is prohibited by both Arizona State Law and local ordinance. As required by local regulations, the property owner will conduct a basic background check for all guests prior to arrival.

    Things to Know
    To comply with local short-term rental regulations, the reservation holder must provide a date of birth and permanent address for a basic criminal background check.
    Basic bike tune-up equipment is available for guest use.
    The pool depth is approximately five feet.

    •Pool and Spa heating can be purchased for an extra fee per day. Pricing can vary, depending on the size of the pool and spa; it can take up to 48 hours to heat. Please reach out prior to arrival if you are interested in adding this amenity.

My kids and grankids had a ball in the pool, the only problem I had was entering and exiting the pool. The pool needs a railing. Overall we enjoyed the property and would like to return.

Amazing home

Beautiful AZ getaway! Pool was amazing. House has a living room & sitting area, plus a very large kitchen so lots of room for our family to spread out. Very safe, well kept neighborhood. We would absolutely stay here again!

Lovely home

Enjoyed this home during our short stay in this quiet neighborhood.Easy check-in and checkout. Home was clean.We enjoyed the pool and heated as requested.We needed maintenance for a small problem and management was on top of this and fixed immediately. Only suggestion is to have ice cube trays since ice maker did not work.Otherwise enjoyed our stay here. Thank you.

Desert Gem

We arrived to find the home sparkling clean. Upon settling in we found everything that we needed for our stay. The kitchen was well equipped with dished, small appliances, and all the necessary utensils. Soaps and plenty of fresh towels were provided. The king sized bad was comfortable and we enjoyed lounging on the patio furniture by the heated pool. All in all a great place to stay in a great location. We would definitely stay at desert gem again!

The Perfect Desert Gem

The Desert Gem is in a great neighborhood with off street parking and even garage parking was a plus. This home was warm, inviting and had all of the amenities we were looking for. Comfortable and cozy furnishings. Peaceful and relaxing outside living space by the beautiful pool. Great restaurants nearby! Close to McDowell mountain park with great trails for biking and hiking. And it was a short walk to a park for Pickleball and tennis! The Desert Gem was a perfect place for a long weekend get-away!

House was great, communication was poor

Location of house was great and was clean. Beds were uncomfortable, but we managed. Communication was poor, no response to early check in request and pool heat took 3 days to get to a swimming temp (our last day), even though we payed for it 3 days in advance (as was instructed) so it had enough time to heat up. Requested refund, but no response from management team.

Family Getaway

The finishes on the interior of the property are nice and the house was very clean for us upon arrival. The house was very poorly stocked with items like dishwasher detergent and condiments though. Vacas leaves what they call a "welcome package" with dishwasher detergent, paper towels, and a couple trash bags. It's really wastefully for the guest to buy an entire box of dishwasher detergent and condiments like ketchup that we couldn't use up in 1 week. We weren't even left enough trash bags to make it through the week. There were no napkins or even tissue so you have to buy your own or blow your nose with toilet paper. Disappointing to have to buy items like trash bags or feel like you have to ration them on your vacation but even more annoying is all of the errands it caused because we realized we couldn't ration it enough and then had to go to the store for more.
