"I would have rated our stay a 5 except for one issue that was not resolved to our satisfaction. The washer did not drain properly and the staff took our clothing to rewash and dry them while the machine was repaired. No one ever came to repair the machine and when my clothes were returned, they were stuffed in a laundry bag and did not appear clean. This hotel has many levels and stairs are unavoidable. We had stayed before and knew this so not an issue. Staff was very willing to assist...

"Beautiful hotel with small but perfectly formed rooms. We were upgraded to a room with a view of the castle which was tiny but lovely. The bar area is fantastic and the Whisky Bar was our downfall (thanks to Dario who is an expert!) Will definitely return"

"We booked the room but were put in the very top floor! It was over a hundred stairs to the top! If you have any luggage over above your carry on you are struggling! It was a small place for two People. They said a king bed??? No it was a double bed and a very uncomfortable sofa. It was a lot to pay for very little comfort. Location was good. Just the logistic are horrible!"

"The location was great, easily access to everything. We quickly found a short cut through the mall to princess street. The apartment was also nice and quiet. It was mostly clean but there was some grit or dirt on the floor as I could hear it rubbing on my case. We expected a sofa as the pictures on the website had a picture of the executive suite with a sofa but apparently that’s only for those with a balcony! "The apartment was beautiful! So spacious, clean, and comfortable. We found the location to be perfect. Walkable to everything, but just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the Royal Mile. Many great restaurants and coffee shops nearby."
