"Super close to the beach, very nice staff! Some amenities felt outdated, the lights were confusing to the windows. Overall, a nice stay!"

"I have booked this hotel for my birthday. EVEN STAFF KNEW WE HAVE BOOKED FOR BREAKFAST BIRTHDAY. They never did anything special .I was fine until I saw they were doing celebration for the other table next day.Honestly,I was off.Other then everything was Good.Rooms ,Property location"

"Great amenities, great rooms, great location."

"The internet didn’t work well in my room."

"Great location and amazing staff"

"The room was nice. We were only there one night. Staff was somewhat helpful. But others not so much. We got recommendations for dinner that were helpful. Breakfast was convenient. Parking was narrow. Tesla charger was unplugged somehow by someone before my car charged. That was a problem. It took time out of our busy travel schedule to find a charger. I was told I could leave my car there all night and not worry about moving it. That affected my overall rating."

"We love to stay at Santa Monica Proper. Great location. Staff always helpful and attentive. Great vibe in common areas."

"The room is nice and clean"

"Great staff who were incredibly friendly and helpful."

"My husband and I travel a lot. This was by far one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. The staff were amazing. Rafael our server in the restaurant was the best server we have ever had. This was my husband’s first time in California, and because of our experience with this hotel. We will be back, and when we travel back. We will be staying at the Shore hotel again !"

"Beautiful hotel. We are a family of 4 and stayed for only one night, but enjoyed ourselves so much. The location is incredible. The rooms and decor and staff are impeccable. The pool is small but enough, you just have to hit it at the right time with the sun overhead as it does get shady, which in the warmer months would be welcomed but it was October and a bit cooler. The beach is very close. Borrow bikes and go for a cruise. 10/10."
