"Luxury is suɓjective but no. Studio suite was small with no lake view. Arrived to find black sharp grit dog hair and dried dog food on floor and some grit and dog hair on bottom of the bed. Vacumn in entrance solved this. Black mould on glass and frame in bathroom due to single glazing on all windows was cleaned. Despite staying 3 nights owner was unable to replace the missing hair dryer in that time. Middle window curtain and underbench rubbish bin needs repairing. Parking on site and bed...

"Unbelievable apartment!!! What a find, from the moment I found The Rockefeller on Expedia to arrival through to the end of the stay everything was the best!! Not going to gointo much detail as wouldn’t want to ruin anybody else’s experience but I will say you won’t be disappointed, everything about the apartment is funky, design led and luxurious from the furnishings to the artwork and even the kitchen and bathroom are of the highest spec. "Lovely apartment . Loved the colourful light above window table which got bright sun in the morning, very well equipoed kitchen area and great full stretch bath to soak away alot of walking. Excellent location for Bowness amenities and the lake and about 20 mins steady walk back to train station. Buses, cafes 2 minutes away. Only slight niggle were fibre pillows bit hard and flat for me but i was that tired from being out and about it didnt stop me sleeping and i would stay again 😊"

"Very pleasant small property. 5 mins walk from central Ambleside. Well equipped and warm. Perhaps a bit small for a family of 4 but great for two people. Nicely decorated with thoughtful touches. Only one parking space but a car park 4 mins walk down the hill. Would recommend."

"We loved the location as Coniston is not so touristy and still very scenic.We loved the size, layout, quality of furnishing and white goods in the flat. There is everything needed for self catering but very good pubs and coffee shops close by. Highly recommend High Wythow"

"This is an excellent house in superb state of repair with very good quality furniture. It is very well equipped and spotlessly clean. The booking process was simple and Martin Wardle of the agents was extremely helpful. The house is situated in a village which is very near Kendal, the lakes and just over one hour to the Solway coast. There are some very good dining places in the area with our favourite being The Watermill Inn which has its own micro brewery producing very tasty beers. All in all...
