"An genuine boutique hotel, the staff couldnt of been more helpful. The breakfasts are outstanding and gluten free can be accommodated if you let them know in advance. I wouldnt hesitate in recommending porta di castro for anyone looking for something out of the ordinary. "

"located in the historical district, walking distance to the nearby historical sites, mostly within 10-20 minutes. the subway station is only 2 minutes walk, which can take us to the airport easily. it is also walking distance to the university of palermo. a perfect location for me. the staff members are kind and helpful. we forgot to bring a converter for outlet. they lent theirs to us (don't count on this though, as they only have two). i really appreciate the convenience they provided to us....

"A lovely comfortable place in the heart of touristy Palermo. My only complaint is there is no warning about the stairs and noone there to help with luggage on arrival. This should be mentioned. Apart from that- great. "

The staff was accommodating to our schedule, the location was perfect and walkable to the sites and the front desk was very friendly and helpfully assisting in navigating our itinerary and making great suggestions. Breakfast was a full offering of local cuisine that was delicious and fresh. Definitely a stay that I would revisit."
