"The staff went above and beyond and were consistently friendly and welcoming. It would seem the property has not been updated in decades, yet it was very clean. The beds are soft, which was a challenge for us. Yet overall our experience was excellent, and we would stay again."

"The room was nice and large but nothing great. The bathroom was updated nicely. The halls were smelly from many years of smoking! Carpets should be replaced, same with washing and painting the walls. Disappointed that the restaurant was closed! I expected a grand old historic hotel!"

"Staff was very friendly but not necessarily helpful. Bathroom had significant mold on ceiling and the entire room felt consistently damp (damp clothes did not dry overnight, for example). We had breathing troubles throughout the night and left early because of this."
