"Stayed at a handful of hostels and this one's in a class of its own. Bunk beds are comfortable and private, with plenty of lockable storage underneath. The space is clean, warm, and genuinely well put together. Staff are friendly and they set the tone for the place. Taco Tuesday is not to be missed. Easy in and out, free parking just a block away. And the location speaks for itself."

"Beautiful landscaped well kept grounds. The rooms were a bit outdated and not super clean. We brought our concern to the front desk staff and they sent housekeeping to clean the room. The gorgeous grounds, pool, beachy area, pickle ball courts, little kids park and daily activities were enough to keep us there although housekeeping could be better. Overall a pleasant family vacation"

"Staff was amazing!!! Let us check in early which was wonderful. We utilized the beach cruisers which are free to use and went all over the area. Room was clean but there was some buzzing noise throughout the night/early morning that we couldn’t figure out where it was coming from. It would buzz every 15 minutes which was super annoying. Would definitely stay here again but would request a different eoom on backside of building."

"I surprised my husband for his birthday on the stay at the Wayfarer and he loved it. The staff at check-in were lovely. They found out it was his birthday and comped us all rentals for a day which we took advantage of. We got checked in early and got a room on top floor with partial view to ocean and it was gorgeous. We slept with the patio doors open all nights and were soothed to sleep with the sounds of the ocean. The property was perfect and we definitely want to bring our girls back to take...

"First off , for the price this resort is very OUTDATED . Not worth it in my opinion . Our stay was not as expected. They let guest bring outside guest 20+ into the pool area knowing space is limited which caused myself and other guest who are paying for the amenities unable to use said amenities. Not just that , the front desk staff we spoke to at check in and the day after acted very bothered . Not just that communication clearly is an issue at this resort no one knew correct times for certain...

"Plumbing in bathroom kept making high pitched noises all night. Shutters have gaps in them, no privacy on windows unless all lights are off. Thin walls, this is a motel. You park in front and all rooms face the parking lot."

"Location is everything! The surfer has been there for ages, they need to use some of the money to upgrade the rooms. You can’t tell me they’re not making money handover fist there the TV never worked had to ask fresh towels every day. But you can’t beat the view."

"This small 2-story, boutique hotel is in a very upscale, safe, beautiful area of San Diego, Point Loma, near San Diego Bay and marina. It’s near nice seafood restaurants and private sailing yachts. For the high price I paid, the room was extremely small, w/only bed, end tables, dresser, TV, microwave, frig, coffee, but no closet, no desk, & small bathroom with rough-finished vanity. The shower plumbing did not operate well. All the black wooden furniture was quite worn and chipped. New...
