It was like a family-friendly adult summer camp where all the essentials (propane grill, fire wood, condiments, beds and bedding) were provided but did not detract from the in-the-depths-of-the-woods feel. Close proximity to the lake as well as a beachfront recreation area with trails to boot. Our 6-year-old daughter loved it. Likely to go back given the opportunity!"

"I stayed at this property for almost a month and thoroughly enjoyed it. It had everything I needed and is conveniently located to Route 9 and I-435. The host was very responsive, which I greatly appreciated. It's nice to know such a comfortable place is available in Shrewsbury."

"We recently stayed at this property to do college visits in Worcester - the location was great for that, allowing us to get to the campuses in less than 15 minutes. The home has tons of space, including MANY bathrooms (always a plus). It was very easy to find things we needed, and the host was a very clear and prompt communicator when we had questions. "Organized a weekend getaway with friends here. Absolutely beautiful space—landscaping, decor, and interior were all pristine. We had 16 people in total and had no issues with space; everyone was comfortable. I would highly recommend for anyone looking for a central New England meeting spot. "

My partner and I had been looking for the perfect spot to have a small intimate wedding with just our immediate families. We found Sunnybrook, fell in love with the pictures and the yard on the listing, and decided this was it! But no review or photo will do this place justice! "We rented this property because our was getting married in Sturbridge and we wanted a place for the groomsmen to gather and get ready but also where we could spend the night. "Quiet getaway, we really enjoyed staying on this property. Area is beautiful western Massachusetts is really majestic, and scenic. It was literally a two min walk to a great restaurant. Lucienne was a lovely host and very accommodating . Her rental was clean and comforting . We had a little patio out back too . If you're looking for a peaceful getaway, i recommend Lucienne's place"

"Overall it was great, the only thing is the mattress has a plastic cover on under the sheet that was really uncomfortable. It makes the sheets slide right off all night. The host was very nice."

"Host was great and even got us a requested Christmas tree! I have never stayed at a place that had better constant hot water for 5 people showers etc!The only downside was that the kitchen was not well equipped with cooking/serving items for people who like to cook some nice dinners in a weeks stay."

"Perfect apartment with lots of room; comfortable beds. Decorated with a personal touch (some VRBO's feel too impersonal) which made it very welcoming. Could not be better located for visiting Clark University campus!"

"This place is a unique stay, that's for sure! If you are looking for an unforgettable experience, you should come. If you love trains, you should come. However, if you are not that fond of tight spaces or old-fashioned style and your traveling companions are looking for luxury and privacy, you might want to look elsewhere. The bathroom is a big tight (it's a caboose bathroom). But the location is really fun. And the owners are very accommodating! "

"The house was very clean when we arrived. Lovely kitchen/dining area. We cooked full meals and only had to buy minimal things. Bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. I would definitely recommend this place and/or stay again if needed!"
