"Kayaking on the lake was lovely. The room was very clean and had the cutest cottage charm. We visited in May, but these units are well suited for winter activities as well, with the jetted tub, fireplace and kitchenette. The heat was off, the outside temperature dropped into the 40's after midnight and the unit was still almost 80° inside."

"This motel was a hidden gem. The bed was very comfortable and the staff was so helpful and friendly. The only small complaint would be the fans in the rooms appear to be on the same remote control, so when one room turned their fan on, ours came on too, and visa versa. If they would install a master off switch this would solve this issue, but since it was such a small inconvenience, I didn’t want it to impact my overall rating."

"I love this simple , rustic , but amazing little hotel. Right on the beach, easy walk to the beach area, playground , restaurants , seven eleven. Staff is great , gentleman that stays in the office is very friendly and helpful. I stayed in a room with 2 separated areas."

"It was off-season, but we enjoyed it. Celebrated my daughter’s birthday and went swimming barbecued cooked a lot. Barbecue propane tank were empty, but staff was able to help get it going. "

"I would stay here again. On site sauna and gym open til 10pm, gym is small but clean. They also have an on-site restaurant thats extra but breakfast was fresh and quality was excellent. One mile walk into downtown Truckee and 0.5 mile walk to nearest plaza that has a decent Thai and wine restaurant. Short 20 mins drive from Palisades if there's no traffic."

"Erin at the front desk was amazing. She gave us so much advice and so many suggestions that we were able to travel around the whole lake and check out great spots. We actually came for a wedding in Kings Beach but preferred Tahoe City. Great spot and great hotel"
