"I guess I will leave a review that I wish I had seen before staying, the door doesn’t lock until you push the button on the deadbolt (not told to us when we checked in but somewhat obvious when you look at the door). I think this is a place that police would avoid because they know they would have to arrest people that stay there. The water was out when we woke up for a couple hours, which was more or less the cherry on top of the whole place. If you’re looking for cheap, then sure. Safe? Idk."

"Based on all the reviews. We were not disappointed at all. The rooms were updated and very clean. The only thing would be a nice coffee station at the front desk for the morning coffee we had to run to Starbucks every morning. All in all it was a very pleasant stay."

"Room was clean, greeted upon arrival with kindness and attentiveness. The room was pleasantly sound. It is an older building with older trim, but has been kept clean. It does NOT smell like an older hotel. Pleasantly surprised to find our room with a kitchenette. Being an Alaskan and seeing what’s becoming of downtown, I felt safe here at Voyager. We parked our car outside on the side street and it was safe and unbothered. Location is ideal within walking distance of shopping and dining."

"This property was everything others reported: very clean, quiet, spacious, and with a high quality full-size kitchen set-up. It felt like an apartment, not a hotel room. And all for a better price than you can find anywhere else in expensive Anchorage. The outside of the building is a little scruffy but the apartment itself is everything you need. Comfortable (firm) bed, very smart tv, even an extra sink if someone else needs the bathroom. A handy location, too.

"YV cable was ripped out of the wall, electric baseboard heater disassembled and laying on floor. Room had only 2 bath towels, no hand towels or wash cloths. Lamp was falling apart. I would not recommend this place."

"For the cost I would have expected a hotel along the lines of a Marriott or Holiday Inn. The rooms were very dated carpet had stains on it. It was a hike to our room via a cat walk style to our door. We were exposed to the elements outside. There was a bright outdoor light shining in our room all night and with a 3:30 alarm set for an early morning flight that was extremely disruptive! I stay in hotels 2-4 times a month this hotel was way over priced for what it offered. The best reference I can...
