"The property was very beautiful and this was a great home base for our week in Edinburgh. It was a bit away from the city center so we did end up taking buses and taxis more than expected. Traffic in front of the house gets quite busy around lunchtime and supper. While housekeeping provided a steady supply of tea packets and granola bars, we did have to venture out for food. I didn’t appreciate the cafe the guest house recommends but thankfully there were a lot of other options within walking...

Nice selection of breakfast options, pleasant manager(s) with excellent & speedy communication, parking outside, & the ‘Old Town’ within walking distance. "Sorry that there was no elevator, but because it is an historical property, it can not be installed. Staff was wonderful and breakfast and the room it was served was beautiful. Well worth the money if you can do 47 steps to the top floor. Were in our late 70’s and we did it!!!! Great spot and great people running it."

"We really enjoyed our stay with Alan and Alison (and Mr Tom). The room was the perfect size for us, with a modern bathroom, plenty of closet space, and a comfy bed. The breakfast options worked well for us, with Alan cooking breakfast items as requested. Several buses stop almost at the front door of the property; it was straightforward to get almost anywhere in the city. There were several restaurants and grocery stores a 10-15 walk from the B&B (also accessible by bus). We’d happily stay there...

"Some scratches on glass tables and shower mold but room very nice otherwise. Staff so helpful, downstairs temp cool , a little uncomfortable after an hour. Bed comfortable ,pillows high and hard. Have stayed previously would again . Very convenient for airport. "

"I cannot recommend this hotel enough. The rooms were super spacious - something you won’t find in downtown! Honestly, if we were to do Edinburgh again, we would stay here and just drive to the city. The restaurant was amazing and the decor is just so luxurious! "
