The Burr Oak home is in the City limits but will give you the country feel. Only one neighbor, no city sidewalk, trees and nature will be your front, right side and back view.

Easy access to Hocking Hills, Stuarts Opera House, Ohio University, Hocking College, Wayne National Forest, Bailey's Trail System, Hock Hocking Adena Bikeway, Fast Trac. Local adventures/restaurants: Adventure Pro Outdoors, Rocky Outdoor Gear Store, Rhapsody, Starbrick BBQ, Los Mariochos, The Mine and Kroger. Driveway parking for 6 average autos.

Labor Day visit

Visited with our son who attends Hocking College. This house is well stocked and clean. Nice location to the college and Baileys Trail System for mountain biking. Enjoyed our stay. Only complaint is the air conditioning system is really loud-but we were happy to have air with the 90 degree days!

Hocking Hills getaway

Overall great house. Very clean and maintained. We had trouble with our code to the front door at one point and the owner helped us resolve it fast. The road in front of the house is very busy with traffic.

Beautiful home

The home was beautiful, clean, and well stocked. The beds were comfortable. The only downside to some would be that when the sun comes up the bedrooms are very bright. If you are an early riser it’s not a problem, but the bedrooms could benefit from blackout curtains, but we didn’t mind.

Nice place.

Mostly very satisfied. Clean house, nice location near Nelsonville, quick response from owner. Only objections are a couple things that were not clear from the description: The home is near a fairly major road, so road noise at night was a minor issue. Also, the fire pit is on the side of a hill, so somewhat difficult to use.

What we like

The house was great for us. Location not far from daughters. The one thing was some of the dishes weren't clean, and frypans stuck. It would benefit getting a ceramic set of pots and pans. Maybe extra kitchen table chairs to match how many can stay. And mayne freshning living room chairs and couch. We liked the front porch, easy entry and privacy.

Perfect for what we needed

We booked this property due to our daughters playing in a softball tournament in Logan. This property was perfect for what we needed. Each of the three bedrooms provided our family with their own space and comfy beds to sleep in. The two full baths made it easy for us to get up and out of the house on time. Everything was as shown and I was pleasantly surprised. Checking in and out was super simple and the communication with the hosts was quick and easy. Phone service is a little iffy (Verizon) but the provided wifi kept us in the loop for things we needed phone wise. Thank you for a wonderful and comfortable place to stay for our weekend away! Hopefully we can get back to this property when we are coming for a quiet get away!
