"I recently stayed at this hotel in St Ives and had a very disappointing experience. The room I was given did not match what was shown in the booking photos at all. It felt misleading and not worth the money. Cleanliness was a major issue — the room was not properly cleaned, which made the stay very uncomfortable. "No sink to wash your hands in the shared toilet. Shower tray was dirty. The breakfast wasn’t cooked properly leaving un edible. The manager to great delight in showing off her parrot as she had taught it to say, profanities."

"Staff were lovely but the property needs a lot of TLC. The bathroom is tiny but well equipped. Good location for st Michael's Mount but not much else nearby. Bonus was, they offered breakfast included but we weren't hungry enough for a full English breakfast 😟"

"Such a wonderful property, and the rooms are so very clean and comfortable. We slept so well, and were treated quite nicely. Kate is such a lovely host, and her brekkie is top-notch. We enjoyed chatting with her as we ate, and found her delightful and helpful. The farm setting is so peaceful (for us guest that is, a lot of hard work for owners), and the location is great for visiting the Lizard and other places around south Cornwall. Thank you much for such a great stay!"

"The breakfast was good, but let down by being a little cold. The room and hotel were very nice and well kept, but the restaurant area was incredibly cold, the windows in the conservatory area leaked air around the edges and the air con wasn’t running any heating when we were in there eating so hurried through and returned to room. "

"Penmorvah Manor Hotel is gevestigd op een eigen landgoed, wat heel erg mooi was. Parkeren was geen probleem er waren ruim voldoende plekken. Kamer was netjes en schoon. Personnel was vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Ontbijt was lekker. Het Penmorvah Manor Hotel is in de traditioneel Engelse stijl qua decor die past bij een Manor huis. Wij hebben genoten van ons verblijf."

We only realised this on the last morning so couldn’t mention it to staff. I would normally speak to someone directly rather than on a public forum"

"The property is tired. Some of the staff worked hard. Some were obviously inexperienced. But the big problem was there were not enough capable staff. Long waiting times for food. Ordering systems that failed. Simple things like getting your own coffee at breakfast did not work. Altogether a lack of energy and commitment to getting things right was missing. No obvious management. Fabulous views, great weather. Frustrating hotel. We stayed one night. Could not imagine staying longer. What a lost...
