"This cabin in the wood is great! There is one other cabin on the property about 200 ft away. The inside is done right, with nice finishings and a relaxing feel. Outside is quiet and relaxing. The covered deck is a great space to sit outside or in the hot tub, talk and listen to the bird chirp. Highly recommend!"

"Heron Rest is a beautiful home. It is new, clean, and well appointed. We have stayed at many properties at Kentucky Lake over the years and this was, by far, the best. The indoor space is very comfortable. The bed setup gave six adults ample space to be comfortable. The back screened in porch is incredible with a gorgeous ravine view. The massive front porch made for great front porch sittin’ with a nice cup of coffee. The location in Western Shores was great - the dock was easy enough to get to...

"The hosts were wonderful! Excellent communication and very helpful. We enjoyed how quiet and remote it was. I filtered for a waterfront property and this one is up the hill from the lake, not on the water..but it was a nice, short stroll to the water every evening with our toddler so not a big deal for us. Caught a few fish, and made great memories in my home state. Would book again to visit Benton, or just to enjoy a few KY lake days and Belews (restaurant)."

"We stayed five great nights in late April. The front porch took center stage for us with a magnificent view of the lake. From morning coffee, watching a storm pass over and evening stars. Lots of songbirds!!!The house is great with over the top amenities! We loved the fire pit and furnished firewood. Our host was terrific. Great pre, during and after stay communication. Provided great information on the local area. Highly recommend you stay here!"

"The house was very nice, and in a beautiful relaxing setting. It was easy to walk down to the water and fish off the dock or watch birds. The open areas of the house provided plenty of space for our family to play games or just be together."
