"The property is very peaceful and relaxing. The bungalow is farm rustic, clean and comfy. The open outdoor kitchen is very well stocked and it is a lovely place to sit at night and have dinner or early breakfast with the birds. The fresh eggs were also very appreciated! You are a ways on country roads from most things so bring what you need with you and relax. Sandy and Rossi are great hosts. TV is DVD only which was fine for us. "We had the most amazing time at the Clarendon Forest Retreat. We stayed in the Sanctuary house. The peace and quiet, sitting looking over the hills in the afternoon, and relaxing in the hot tub was so what we needed. Also, one of the highlights was when we were in the local corner shop, we were sharing with the lady at the cash register that we were staying at the Clarendon Forest Retreat and the gentleman behind us was the builder of the house! We highly recommend this place! "

"Fantastic accommodation within a short drive of Gloucester. Set on the banks of the river you feel like you are miles from anywhere. Cottage is well appointed and a thoroughly enjoyable place to stay. Would highly recommend this property "

"We had a lovely time. The accommodation was neat and tidy with true country charm. The pristine views of the surrounding rolling hills provided a truly spectacular escape. Our host, Bev was also very responsive and lovely. "

"Lovely country home, beds and sheets super comfortable, close to town, our family really enjoyed our stay. Plenty of room in the house and the pool table was great. Highly recommend! "

"Sure! Here's a shorter version of the review:---A Secret Place to Slow Down lives up to its name, quiet, cozy, and beautifully set in nature. The space was spotless, thoughtfully decorated, and incredibly relaxing. Close enough to Gloucester’s attractions but tucked away enough to truly unplug. The hosts were kind and attentive. A true hidden gem, we can’t wait to return!"
