"Lovely surprise! Our room was large, comfortable, and the decor was beautiful -- the photos do not do it justice. The location is perfect, right at the bottom of high street next to several historic sites and within easy walking distance of everything one would want to see in Winchester. The Japanese restaurant is fantastic. Make reservations as soon as you check in as it is not to be missed."

"Large, very clean room. Comfortable bed and lovely bathroom with great shower. Nice toilet products to use. Plentiful, tea, coffee and biscuits provided as well as a small fridge with bottled water. Attractive restaurant with a good range of menu options. Ate there 2 nights and the food was very good. Some excellent desserts too! Breakfast was also very good and flexible options. "A nice hotel in a rural area. You probably need a car to visit places around. The service was very good and the staff were really helpful. There were few alternatives for breakfast, but the traditional English breakfast was good. The room was quite clean but some dust. "
