At best, The Hôtel Newstar is a low rate motel. The building itself has several offensive odors and is poorly light with quite narrow hallways. When we first arrived there were several concerning situations at the front of the motel and I was quite concerned about the safety of the parking lot. My instincts proved to be true - during our stay the police were called to the hotel and my car was hit in the parking lot. So an overpriced, poor quality stay has become even more expensive.
The rooms need repair and the furniture needs replacing. The floors are not carpeted, but linoleum. I would not use the shower, the television didn’t work properly, and we could clearly hear televisions and footsteps from other rooms. We spent as little time as possible at Newstar.
