There were 3 of us older women that stayed at this cottage just to shop and dine in this little town instead of following our husbands on another one of their golf trips. What a wonderful place to stay. Very clean, comfortable, and well equipped cottage , smack in the middle of downtown. Perfect and safe. We highly recommend this listing.

The location was excellent and convenient for our stay. WiFi was not working when we arrived on a Friday. Emailed the host and they immediately provided new updated login info as they had recently made some changes. On Sunday we awoke to no WiFi again. We were leaving early, so the inconvenience was minimal. Overall, great stay, location, and host!

The Cottage was as advertsied. Right in the heart of Downtown Fairhope which is a beautiful well maintained small town. Would stay here again for sure.

Location location location!

Perfect for seeing Fairhope without a car. It’s in the middle of the shops and restaurants. (Which also made it a little lively until things settled, at 11 on Friday night). I could walk to the market (small grocery store) and pier. The beds are excellent and the kitchen and bath are cute and clean but there are some less than sparkly areas and I wouldn’t want to have to count on the futon. I never heard from the owners but the checkin was completely automated and I loved it.

Roku TV

There are a lot of positive things about this cottage; such as the location, the parking, the cleanliness and the comfort of the beds. However, there is one aspect which will forever scar this rental until it is eliminated, Roku TV. It would be nice if the rental manager would provide the secret code to make the thing work. ( I wrote the manager asking for help, but didn't receive a response.) The rental company could even place a "disclaimer" in the description for people to see before they decide to rent. It could read "THIS PROPETY HAS ROKU TV." So, other than the above little rant, the place is great.

Great location, not the greatest cottage tho

This place was in an awesome location right in the heart of downtown. The keurig & coffee pods were a nice touch. Cottage was not clean. Floors made our socks filthy. Kitchen sink was clogged & wouldn’t drain, couch smelled like dogs, shower had long hairs on the walls & very low pressure. Parking was super convenient UNTIL we checked out the morning of the arts & craft fair. The streets were lined with vendors & we were told we could not move our vehicle til 6pm. (We had just checked out @ 10:30am) We weren’t informed about the festival, nor were we told to get our car moved prior to it. We called the owners & explained our predicament & were told she’d check with her husband & call us right back. Never called back. The police threatened to put us in jail if we tried to move our car. We called the mayor’s office & they couldn’t get the police to help. We took our chances, moved a couple trash barrels, put our flashers on & slowly made our way to an alley & escaped. I understand the vehicles/pedestrians dangers, but we were 6 hrs from home with no where to stay all day & plans to be in NOLA mid afternoon. Kudos to the police for keeping a safe gathering, but shame on them for their unwillingness to help out some distraught out of town visitors.

Great getaway!

This quaint studio home if perfect for you and your spouse or a small family. You are in the heart of downtown. This is mine and my husband 2nd time here and we love Fairhope. We can’t wait until we come back.
