"Please note this is a budget hotel so you get what you pay. It is convenient hotel located close to Kanyakumari beech, shopping market and restaurants. Room was decent. Bathroom was just okay. Breakfast was the best part of the stay and highlight of our trip."

"The property is in a great location. The staff are helpful in general. The bathroom had an issue with water draining slowly. There were frequent power outages. They had a backup generator but the switchover was annoying. Truly just a first world problem. The food in the restaurant was pretty good. "

"Staff keep coming to room and ring bell like every 30 minutes. No respect for guests privacy. They ask questions like you want tea? You want to go watch sunrise? This after waking me up at 5 30. Morning there was no water in pipe. No good dining nearby. I will not recommend "

"The reservation booked through Hotels.com was not found at the property. I just asked them to give me a room for a separate payment to avoid the hassle of finding another hotel. The hotel looks good but service was terrible. No hot water, none/limited options for dining or breakfast. No other restaurants close by. TV didn’t work/only Tamil channels."

"We stayed at Hotels Umaiyyal Home Stay for 3 nights. The rooms are very good and spacious. They were tidy and well-maintained. However, during our stay, the lifts were not operational. We were allocated a room on the 3rd floor, so we had to use the stairs for two days. The staff here is not proactive; they wait until we complain, and follow-up is required. "Me and my wife had to checkout of the hotel because the hotel did not meet the standards mentioned at Hotels.com. Bathroom and beds were dirty with spots and spit on walls. It was a “smoking” room and I could smell the smoke and saw the ashtray. I did not stay in the hotel and request for a FULL REFUND ASAP !!! "
