"This historic home was extremely well-furnished with lots of interesting decor and books to look at and a comfy couch. Each room has its own mini-split AC, and could control the temp separately. I loved the design of the kitchen with plenty of supplies for cooking and a coffee pot. The bed was so luxurious and comfy, it was perfect for the overnight stay. "Stayed three nights in this unique cabin surrounded by cornfields and overlooking a beautiful lake with a dock. Coffee in the mornings on the dock listening to the bullfrogs and watching rabbits frolic. Plenty of room in the cabin for a family and each level is very private. The cabin was clean, well-equipped, and better than expected. Debbie and Dennis are great hosts and responded to everything quickly. Also rented the event barn for an anniversary party. "My dogs and I loved our stay at The Latch House Barn! The decor and fittings are top-notch, yet also durable enough to accommodate furry friends. The fenced yard was a very welcome amenity for weary travelers, as was the picturesque, eminently-walkable town of Arrow Rock. Only detractor from a perfect visit was the baffling absence of any toilet paper in any bathroom, or anywhere in the house that I was able to find! A one-off oversight, I’m sure. Would love to stay longer next time, and explore...

"Very nice, large historic home! Kitchen was updated and well stocked. Location was excellent, walking distance to downtown. Bedrooms were large with plenty enough room for all 10 of us. We will be renting again."

"Attending an out of state family reunion. Home is exactly as described and was very clean. Kitchen had items to make your stay easy should you decide to cook. If not DQ is two blocks away! "

"Was great place! Very big nice things to do. Could not get tvs to work. Rooms are not very private which was ok but if looking to have privacy, would not be for you."

"Lois has a wonderfully appointed tiny home on her farm, with every detail thoughtfully curated. The bonus bed/futon was a nice surprise as it meant I didn’t have to share a bed with my 6’1” son. The snacks and water were also a nice end to an exhausting day on the trail. I might only suggest a new shower head to help overcome the showers size. "

"First impression was the same as pictured. It was clean and open. Didn’t have time to utilize the whole house but the upstairs bathroom is very nice and roomy and beds were comfortable. "
