"I didn’t have breakfast so cannot comment, but it looked fresh. Had a coffee but was luke warm, could not be warmed up as it was from a machine. Staff super helpful when I requested to move to a bigger room. Manager was very helpful too. The only thing that let the hotel down is that the walls and floors could be thicker, a family that were staying seemed to let their children run free, up and down the corridors! Was annoying. Could not hear the traffic noise at all. Aircon was nice....

"Comfy room, generous towels. Arrived late Friday evening, no bother getting a table in the pub downstairs for food- they don't take table reservations, so I wasn't at a disadvantage. Good wide choice on the menu and attentive service. There was a nightwatchman for after hours- what a treasure! He showed me how to access once the pub was closed, helped me empty the bags from the car and carried them to our room all with a friendly, nothing was too much trouble approach. A real asset to the Old...

"What a fantastic place to stay. Reasonably priced. Free parking in the grounds. Castle felt like a museum too. So many things to see and such a lot of history. My solo room was perfect. Breakfast was brilliant. Made to order. Selection of continental breakfast too. Will definitely come back. "

"This is an affordable hotel for a family short stay, clean, appears to be recently refurbished, located in a muslim neighbourhood near a mosque not far from the city centre. Friendly staff. It doesn't have a parking place but they gave us a spot to leave our car overnight. It is good in general if you are looking for a cheap family room for a night or two."

"We just had a standard double room, I was suprised how nice it was for the price. The hotel itself is lovely, such a beautiful place. There are a few animals outside to feed, an outdoor bar area. The bar inside is great and reasonably priced. The food is AMAXING "

"Lovely staff, all friendly and proud of the Inns History. We were there on a very quiet night! Lovely large room with a 4 poster bed and excellent bathroom with walk in shower. Breakfast beat us, freshly prepared as we came down. "

"I can honestly say everything was perfect with the room, it was beautiful, clean, all the amenities you needed was there, front of house was well mannered and polite when we arrived. I had requested for room to be decorated alittle special as it was our anniversary, and my request was granted so if you do want to stay somewhere and make it special always ask they are happy to help. "Great for an overnight stay before an early flight. Staff were pleasant, room was clean, food from the bar was tasty and came quickly despite it being really busy. I would stay again if flying from Newcastle."
