"Stayed 3 nights. Property was in a quiet area and about 10-15 minute Uber ride (about $3) from historic area and the same from the gondola to ruku pichincha hike. Hotel was very cute with South American decor and charm. Breakfast was amazing with cereal, granola, yogurt, fresh fruits, cooked to order eggs, toast and ham, fresh juice and coffee/ tea. "Pretty hotel decor. Staff polite. Room comfortable .Breakfast was ok, as you were served. On Sunday it was much better as it was a self service buffet with a lot more choice. Lack of information at check in. I had to ask for breakfast timing, and the staff gave me different timings to that which I eventually found in the room on the bedside table. "Hotel Finlandia was a wonderful place to stay during my time in Quito. The location is absolutely perfect, close to great restaurants, parks, and in a very safe area, which made walking around feel comfortable both during the day and at night. "Xavier was fantastic! I stayed here with a group of 12, and the receptionist was absolutely amazing. He was attentive, accomodating, kind and friendly and he made our stay extremely pleasant. The hotel itself offers decent value for money and the breakfast is good. Great place overall."

"This is a lovely little hotel with a very welcoming feel and great staff. Our room was spacious and comfortable and the food (breakfast and dinner) in the cosy restaurant was excellent. The decor is designed to celebrate the cultural heritage of Ecuador and the whole layout is very attractive. The availability of complimentary fresh fruit in the sitting room area was a nice touch. Nothing to fault here, highly recommended."

"the casa is up a road away from the town so you have to get a taxi to anywhere except the tarabita to the waterfalls. The environment is lush and beautiful. The room of the cabin was spacious and clean and comfortable. The first night I stayed there was an accident which knocked out power to Mindo for most of the day, I think the water heater was electric and thus there was no hot water. The staff were very nice and helpful. I did not take meals at the casa so can’t comment on the food."
