"Vahid and No. 5 east are just a sheer delight! The house is lovely, breakfast was great, and Vahid is so welcoming and cheerful. Only minor complaint is that, in the winter, if you aren't in a car, the nearest restaurants and shops are a bit of a walk, especially if it's winter."

"The Fort Garry is a lovely old hotel. It’s fun just walking through the lobby. The Oval Room is a lovely place to have a nightcap. Our room was pleasant and very clean. The bed was comfortable. We’ll be back."

"The location is perfect in the heart of downtown Winnipeg. Important to know that there is an escalator that takes you underneath the hotel and allows you to access most of the buildings in the downtown area from underneath the street. "

Both restaraunts werevery good, both with the food and staff.The front desk staff were all very professional, friendly, informative and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable and it wasvery quiet around me. "

"Stayed in a newly renovated room. Was quite comfortable, but did hear the adjoining room a fair bit - noise came right through the doors. Otherwise the bed was comfy and the new bathroom was lovely. Best of all was the restaurant. Amazing breakfast! I mean they have a mimosa flight!! "

"Because of severe weather condition, the air conditioner could not make the room all the time. One of the elevators was out of service for my whole stay, and the only one was very busy with some issues. The safety of the area was terrible, and some security crews were assigned in different floors."

"I walked in and walked back out of this property. The “comfort queen double room” picture was NOTHING like what I seen. Concrete walls, no windows, and things falling off the walls. There is a liquor store with people constantly in and out of the hotel. There was a bar with 4 different songs playing at once. And the hotel was filled with cigarette smoke. I got my refund through Expedia, but the hotel charged my credit card again (even though I already pre-paid). I got my damage deposit back, but...

"Front desk staff completely ignored us at check in. Even though we were visibly present with a three month old baby and 2 high energy kids, the front desk staff continued stacking chips for an additional 5-7 minutes while we waited to check into our room. After a really long day and another one ahead this was definitely not appreciated and made us feel very ignored. "
