"South Lake Chalet is walking distance from Heavenly Ski Lift (and casinos if that's your thing); also to the beach and to hiking. Both times we've stayed here, the fireplace was lit and the room heated, a welcoming touch on a winter's day and after a long drive, The room is clean, has real dishes, glasses and utensils; microwave and sink. Dog friendly. We'll be back and recommend highly."

"Station House Inn is such a gem! They welcome you with smiles, a glass of wine or a can of beer, provide you with great local recommendations, and a cozy area to hang out. The room just makes complete sense. Lots of space to hang all of your winter gear, a full length mirror, comfortable bed, plenty of charging ports, and personalized scented shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion by STI! Lastly, it was such close walking distance to Heavenly gondola and the bus drop off/pick up. Loved this...
