"If you’re looking for a unique quiet medieval castle experience this is the place to stay. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Grounds were incredible, breakfast and dinner were very nice. Second oldest golf course in the world wasonly 3 miles away. Beautiful walking trail with view and historical stone marker at the capture location of Mary Queen of Scots. Would definitely stay again.

"This property is wonderful. Clean, friendly staff, the broom has 95% of what you need for a base to do the fringe, then public transport location of Abbeyhill is serviced WELL into the night as well (I got home at 02:30 one night) and still had a lovely chat with the 24 hour front door staff.
I will be booking this again for sure next year."

"The hotel was conveniently located approximately 15–20 minutes from the city center by public bus, with the bus stop situated very close to the property. The staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and accommodating throughout our stay.
My main concerns were with the room itself. It did not have air conditioning, which made it feel very warm, stuffy, and uncomfortable, especially in the evenings. The lack of ventilation significantly affected the overall comfort of the stay.

"The property is situated near North Berwick and has beautiful gardens. The building itself is a bit tired. Our room was disappointing for the grade of hotel. Coffee facilities were basis (one packet of two pieces of shortbread to share!). The cooked breakfast was lovely but the continental selection was very poor compared to similar hotels and given that one of the main selling points of the hotel is the Chez Roux restaurant.
