Forest Pond Cottage is located in the Adirondack Park in Northern New York. Pets are welcome for a small fee per stay/per pet. Access to snowmobile & ATV trails are right from the cottage. It is situated on the edge of a seven acre beaver pond and surrounded by 115 acres of beautiful forest. The cottage is the only dwelling at the end of a town road which allows for easy year-round access yet ensures privacy. With every season there is a whole new variety of outdoor activities to enjoy.

THE COTTAGE
The cottage is an oasis from everyday living with all the comforts of home to recreate from within. There are endless trails for hikers, bikers, cross country skiing, ATVs and snowmobiles. Lakes, streams, rivers, mountains and thousands of acres of State land that is yours to enjoy. We have had everything there from weddings, honeymoons, anniversaries, family reunions to private getaways. It's a great place for individuals to share time & space with loved ones. The owners live only two miles up Number Four Rd; close enough to always be available if & when needed.

INDOOR AMENITIES
All linens for bed, bath & kitchen are provided as well as a fully equipped kitchen. Just some of the amenities include:
Fully equipped kitchen with full size refrigerator,full size gas stove, microwave, coffee pot, all kitchenware and cookware, crockpot, blender, toaster, spices, table and chairs in kitchen.
One bathroom with all linens, shower stall, toilet, sink & very clean.
Living Room features gas heating stove, 3 recliners, an Ethan Allen couch that folds out to a queen size bed, very nice mattress pad in living room closet for fold out mattress (again, all linens provided & very nice). TV, VCR, DVD, DISH satellite, BOSE music system, variety of DVD movies & VHS tapes, games, cards, round table to seat minimum of 4.
Enclosed, screened porch the length of the cottage to enjoy your morning coffee and the wild life as you look out onto the pond. There are tables, chairs & a swing chair for your relaxation. Just down the stairs from the porch is the patio. Nice outdoor furnishings provided.
Upstairs features a queen bed as well as two twin beds in one large room. The linens are very nice and the beds very comfortable. Air conditioning. Off from the bedroom is the balcony. If there is a 'little one' staying, there is a crib that can be provided as well as a high chair.

OUTDOOR AMENITIES
There is a canoe to use on the pond, picnic table & outdoor furniture. Life preservers are there also for canoe ventures. A newly built deck has been added to the pond. A bonfire site for stargazing at night is always fun. There is an outdoor grill for BBQ.

Location of the cottage was perfect for a nice, relaxing weekend offline. The grounds were well maintained and the trails around the cottage were great. Carol and Dan were always available, however we found the cottage already had everything we needed.

Affordable , secluded, beautiful cottage with everything you need! Twenty min drive from town. Definitely a change for my family with a weekend away from the internet but was much needed! Snowmobiling trails right from the cottage were amazing. Aside from the fact my 2up caught on fire, Dan and Carol were amazing through it all. Very welcoming, caring, and made my family feel at ease through the chaos! We were so glad to have a charming cottage to come back to! We cannot wait to stay again, this time for ATV riding!

It was everything we could have asked for. The cottage was cozy and well equipped with everything necessary to be comfortable. Carol and Dan, the hosts went over the top to make us feel welcomed. Their level of hospitality was that of family. We really felt and greatly appreciated it.

This is a classic Adirondack camp that through love and attention to detail by the wonderful hosts has truly earned the title of Adirondack Cottage. Very clean, welcoming, and has all those little things you dont think about until you need it.

This was a wonderful place to stay. The owners are caring and attentive with good communication. The cottage is well appointed and dog friendly. Beds are comfy! Big bang for your buck. We had a mid-November stay for rest and relaxation without any plans to do anything. Nice paths near-by, beautiful private pond, quiet spot away from the road, would be extra lovely in Summer and Autumn weather. Kitchen very nice to use. Good bathroom. Definitely would stay here again.

The property is beautiful and secluded. We spent the tine decompressing from civilization. It makes you realize how dependent we are on our phones. The owners are sweet but a bit too involved. We are very private people and do not like owners stopping by to check in. Other than that everything was perfect.

This was genuinely the perfect place to fully disconnect and be present and have a good time. Carol & Dan were amazing hosts and I’m extremely grateful for them. I am definitely coming back here again! The property itself is awesome and the town is just so nice, if you love nature, you’ll love this place. I liked how there was a perfect distance away from stores, it makes each driving trip more intentional and fun

Beautiful Location

We enjoyed our stay very much. The only thing that didn't go as well as hoped was the weather.The stairs are difficult to climb, so sleeping downstairs on the (relatively comfortable) sofa bed is a good idea.

Unplug and relax

My fiancé and I had a phenomenal time at the cottage. The pictures dont do the property justice, it is even more beautiful and serene than we had expected. Dan and Carol were such gracious hosts and provided us with valuable information about both the property and surrounding towns. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with us this weekend! Perfect Getaway!

This is the perfect place to unplug, unwind & recharge- the property is gorgeous, the cottage is well equipped & super comfy, the hosts are fantastic & civilization (gas/food/groceries) is still within reasonable distance as/if needed. I will def book here again!

Clean, cozy, beautiful pet-friendly stay

We had the most amazing time during our winter visit with ourselves and our pomsky! We visited during a winter-storm and loved playing in the snow and utilizing the sleds provided by Carol & Dan.The storm blew in making our travel plans very unsafe and Carol & Dan were V E R Y kind, inviting us to stay an extra night to avoid the harsh travel conditions. We will forever be thankful for that kindness!This property certainly feels all-inclusive. Whether you want to stay at the cottage your whole stay or travel around the Adirondack area- there is so much to do! The hospitality of the hosts shows through with all their provisions. Forgot toothpaste? Under the cabinet. Pet furniture covers? In the closet! They've thought everything through which makes the stay feel easy and comfortable especially with their kindness being just 2 miles up the road. We can't wait to spend more time here as we will certainly return with our daughter & dog again!

We Will Certainly Return!

Beautiful cottage. Great combination of rustic / modern appointments. Very well equipped and dog friendly. We absolutely loved having our girl there with us for the weekend. The property is absolutely serene and stunning. Pictures do not even do it justice. We were able to snowshoe the trails on the property. It was an absolute winter wonderland. In addition to all of this, two of the best hosts I’ve met in my history of renting VRBO / Airbnb type properties. Carol and Dan are extremely kind, personable and knowledgeable folks. They are at the ready to answer any questions / accommodate their guests to ensure a wonderful stay. Thanks for everything!

Beautiful sanctuary

Amazing cabin in the woods. Carol and Dan were amazing making sure we had everything that we needed. Which we did. They provided everything for modern living. We didn’t leave the cabin we did have some adventures in the rain and snow on the property. Our dogs were exhausted by day three. We saw otters playing on the lake, large beaver and some deer. Very quiet. Perfect place to go if you are looking somewhere to get away from the noise! Especially on New Year’s Eve. We cannot say enough positive about this cabin! Thank you for sharing your sanctuary with us. Will definitely return!
