"Very nice staff, very clean room, nice clean bathroom nice shower over the bath plenty of hot water good water pressure, 2 small bottles of shampoo and body wash and a small bar of soap towels provided. Nice room with desk and chairs the bed was comfortable. Not enough power points to charge your phone/laptop/watch no USB points especially difficult if two people have items to charge at the same time maybe bring an extension lead/plug. Car parking is charged and expensive especially if staying...

"We had such a lovely stay at this wonderful B&B. Comfy bed and the room was well equipped with tea and coffee, biscuits, water etc. We had no trouble parking. Breakfast was first class. "

"I LOVED Carol. She was welcoming and kind, made an amazing breakfast for me, answered all my questions. A great hostess. My room (12) was super clean and the bed was comfortable. Lots of pillows and extra blankets. Nice big TV. The water pressure was really low but I think that’s typical in older buildings. The garden was peaceful and I enjoyed sitting there in the evening with a glass of wine. Great stay. Traveled from Canada."

"Large older style hotel in a convenient location. Bright welcoming reception and bar and spacious dining area. Room was good; comfortable bed, tv and tea and coffee. Good shower but it was leaking from the shower control end out of the shower on to the bathroom floor and out of the bathroom and wetting the carpet in the bedroom by the bathroom door. Also it didn’t seem that the extractor fan in the bathroom was working well / at all. We reported both of these faults and hopefully they will be...

"Room was fine and beds were comfy"

"It is sn old property in dire need of some fresh decorating. Especially the stair carpet which looks like it hasn't been vacuumed in months. It also smells in the narrow passageways. The toilets and showers needed cleaning. Staff were nice, polite and helpful."

"We stayed at Woodhall hotel and spa for 4 nights in the lodges. There was not much natural light entering the room and noise can be heard from the adjoining room The building could do with some refurbishment The views and gardens are beautiful The staff were really excellent and nothing was too much trouble The food was equally good with some fabulous combinations and flavours and, they have an interesting wine list, if slightly on the pricey side. Overall we enjoyed our stay. Thank you"

"Impressive building with lovely grounds; however unfortunately our room did not live up to the same standard with wine bottles & beer cans left at the door on entry, along with the odour from the previous guests takeaway. Thankfully the staff were able to accommodate a different room for our stay, but it is worth noting the rooms both shared a rather tired appearance and we left a little deflated bearing in mind the room rate."

"I was not impressed with the customer service I received from the receptionist on duty upon my arrival. She did not greet me upon arrival and did not inform me in advance that the parking machine would not issue a receipt."

"Note the hotel is surrounded by bars open until 4am and 6am and if your room is facing out on to the main road you might be in for a very sleepless night. The hotel have very little empathy, just along the lines of what do you expect, its in a city centre hotel,.thats the general attitude. Also outright lied and said they offered an alternative room which when i asked at reception was actually told an outtright "no we are fully booked but there are earplugs provided in your room". Such a shame...
