"Staff were very polite and friendly. Very clean and good location. Bed was very comfy and room had plenty of space. But…… decor, breakfast, exterior, road, games room all awful. No imagination or inspiration. Doesn’t need money just some thought and energy. Won’t stay again would rather pay £25 more for better quality. Worst of all our room absolutely stank weed and it certainly wasn’t us!!"

"Very nice place, bedroom was spacious, , bed was very comfortable, bathrrom had a bath with a rain shower, complimentary toiletries. Tv, radio, ironing board, hairdryer, towels in room. Complimentary tea, coffee, hot chocolate , sparkling and still water. Plenty on the breakfast menu to choose from. Restaurant menu looks nice i didnt have a meal as was visiting family. Car parking available. Need to book in advance as it us a very popular place. Would of stopped 2 nights if there had been...

"The pub is friendly with good food and staff. The separate block which houses the bedrooms looks boring but the bedrooms inside are incredibly beautiful. I enjoyed underfloor heating in the bathroom and the lovely views of the countryside. "

"Honestly could not fault this place at all. Staff very welcoming and attentive. If things were not available in your room they would be more than happy to help and provide eg. Iron and Iron Board. The breakfast was amazing and the fresh pastel del nata was even better than what I’ve had in Portugal! 10/10 recommend "

"The hotel was lovely very nice room and spa facilities were good. Pool a bit small but perfect for a dip. Unfortunately the music from the reception area was booming all day and night so I got little to no sleep. Very disappointing when on a business trip and needing to be well rested the next day. By 11.30 pm I went to reception and asked them to turn it down. Originally I had thought it was some kind of disco from the restaurant it was so loud! "Lovely room, clean and a homey feel to it. The bed is a superking size and super comfy!! Hosts were very friendly and helpful. We only had a light breakfast, which included lots of choices (cereal, toast, yogurt, fruit etc). We would definitely recommend Orchard house!"

"Great place to stay if you’re off to the races, 15mins by car or Taxi. The pub does not provide a breakfast but their evening meals are good, and the staff are friendly. The rooms are at the back of the pub and have ensuite bathrooms, tea, coffee and water bottles in the mini fridge. The linen and towels were all fresh and the bed very comfortable. "
