City Break for a Birthday Celebration

Good location, great price, free locked parking and a breakfast. Can't fault this little gem of a hotel.

Basic clean and tidy

Good no frills accommodation, clean and tidy. Staff pleasant breakfast ok good location and easy walk to Stratford Stn and Westfield.

The reception staff was very friendly and accommodating. The housekeeping staff cleaned our room daily. The breakfast was not just continental but a full hot breakfast with eggs, sausage, bacon, baked beans plus cereals , toast, yogurt, etc, and the service was very efficient. It would have been nice if they gave us extra pillows and hand towels (not just bath towels), and tissue paper, and also if they have separate trash bins for recyclables. Great location with frequent bus service to the trains and tube and the Westfield mall; also a block from a grocery store which is very convenient.

First of all, the image of the lobby is not the lobby you are greeted with at this hotel. The actual lobby is more like a police station or a Citizens Advice Bureau. So to post a photo of a reception with plush furniture and fresh flowers, is simply false advertising. The reception staff is rude-ish and disinterested. The room itself was fine, classic motel layout, bed was clean, but the actual bed cover felt old and a bit grubby. The carpet was nasty. Bathroom was nice and clean. Would have been nice with a bedside lamp. Breakfast was ultra basic and practically inedible. Fine for a 3 night budget stay. No frills whatsoever.

The hotel is ok the room was clean and room was looked after ie new towels beds made tv did not work and fan only worked after i put in new batteries breakfast ok did not eat sausage has i had seen them stored in a container on the window shelf in kitchen the night befoe so not too sure they were what was on my plate amusing notice 1 egg 1 bacon 1 sausage and beans a bit skimpy milk was in a 2liter container it came in and was full fat only overall ok but would not run back one good note the guy on reception was pleasent and was helpfull the surrounding area was a little enlightning not sure if walking round after dark would be safe if on your own but thats not an issue for the hotel it is were it is overall ok.

Soccer Aid stay :)

Friendly staff. Hotel a bit dated. We had a quadruple room for 3 nights. Beds only had 1 pillow each and when we asked for a further 4 upon check they advised they did not have any but would get them for following day. Following day other receptionist not aware of the request but assured us would gave them for 3rd night. True to his word we got them for the last night. Towels provided were so small and did not provide hand towels nor a bath matt for outside the shower. Would suggest larger bath towels. i.e bath sheet sizes. Breakfast selection not great and no coffee machine etc. Good location. 40 minute walk to the London Stadium. Good bus routes from right outside and close to Sainsbury’s, tesco.
