A-Frame #07 - Hosted by The Chalets

The Chalets A-Frames are iconic, romantic, cozy and comfortable with two queen bed sleeping areas and one full bath. Arranged along the ridge of a hill, each A-Frames has a private deck with hot tub, grill and view into mature woods. Their vaulted open-concept living areas include a kitchenette, dining for four, fire place, flat-screen tv, exposed beams and lots of light. And every one is pet-friendly*! The A-Frames are at the Chalets' Old Man's Cave location of 140 acres, 31 cabins, pool, firepits, SaunaPods, electric vehicle charging stations, office and neighboring General Store. It sits two miles from the epicenter of the region: Hocking Hills State Park visitors center.

*Limit two pets. $50+tax fee. Breed restrictions apply.

Cozy, clean cabin with all the essentials and a few thoughtful extras. Property managers responded to communications promptly prior to the stay and regarding check in and access to the cabin. Front desk was also kind and helpful once we arrived. We'd definitely stay at The Chalets again!

Camping with my daughters

Family time with my two girls and our two dogs. Cute cabin! It rained a lot, but that was ok. We enjoyed the sauna pod and the hot tub. Even went for a dip in the pool in the rain!

Get away with friends and dog

The chalet was very clean. It was exactly as it was described. No complaints, the hot tub worked, the beds were clean and the kitchen was stocked with the correct amount of utensils. A suggestion, for those concerned about the environment, maybe a recycling bin separate from garbage bin. This is very close to Hocking Hills State Park. We were able to go early get our hike in and beat the terrific afternoon storm. Would we come again? Absolutely and this time we’re going to rent the saunas!

Simple and perfect!

The rental process was easy, and all the instructions for check-in and check-out were communicated clearly. The unit was beautiful, and we enjoyed the hot tub and fireplace every night! It made a perfect romantic winter getaway.

Great location!

Like I said, it was a great location because it's only a few miles from all the caves and astronomy park. The cabin itself was nice and clean with all the amenities. My wife and I really enjoyed the covered deck with hot tub, because it had rained on our trip a few times... also the Old Mans cave general store was literally around the corner which made it easy to grab some lighter fluid that I always forget to bring... a great little get away from Cincinnati :)

Great stay

Great quiet spot to relax! Cabin was clean and they had a book of things to do and see nearby including where to eat. Town is a bit far away but not a big deal, there is a kitchen to use there. We will say we had to stay upstairs due to the noise coming from the HVAC unit (our guess) it was pretty loud in the downstairs room especially.

Hiking Getaway

Loved all the communication concerning the booking. Better equipped than described. Enjoyed the hot tub and fireplace immensely. WiFi barely worked but that was literally the only minus. Would definitely recommend and come back!

Perfect getaway!

This cabin was the perfect getaway with my covid pod. We were able to check in without having to come into contact with anyone and it was nice to have a small vacation with an amazing hot tub. The cabin is cozy and had everything we needed to stay in for a couple days. The view was wonderful and we decided we would definitely return when we have more time.

Perfect little place in the heart of Hocking hills state park

This was a great place to stay. Hot tub was perfect after those long days hiking. Everything worked as it should and the location really couldnt be any better. Just a few miles away from all the popular sites, and easy drive to logan for dinner or breakfast. Not to mention the convenient store right next door that has ice cream, firewood , and many other necessities you may need. I would definitely recommend and stay again.

Chalet Stay

A wonderful place run by an awesome crew. The location is perfect for enjoying all the outdoor activities. The cabin was clean, comfortable and accommodating . We really enjoyed the hot tub and the fireplace.
