"Everything was great. Room was big and comfortable overall a great experience. It was self-service so there wasn’t much in term of service from the hotel but everything was there so really great. I put 4 for service but for a self-service it was great. "

"First time in this lodge apartment but many visits to Aviemore. Clean and first rate inside. Had a full size Christmas tree setup which just added to festive feel. Easy access to town and Rothimercus. "

"Check in was easy you get a code sent for the front and room door, very well equipped with a small kitchen area with a fridge which when travelling with a dog was really useful for the food. Bed lovely and comfy with a small balcony area to sit out and as the weather was so good was perfect. Ample parking with a very short walk into Aviemore, plenty local shops, cafes and pubs/restaurants to choose from "

"Because it's such a large property I got lost. Have your check in person circle your hotel because there are 4 of them. Breakfast was excellent!!!"

"Stayed for the weekend with the family (2 adults & 2 kids aged 8 & 6). Room was a good size and clean. Great amenities on site - playpark, cinema, swimming pool, soft play & amazing pizza at the resort's Italian restaurant. "

"There is so much to do and see within hotel grounds it’s in a great location, the staff are friendly, helpful, polite and lovely. "

"Staff were friendly and helpful, location handy and beautiful, with red squirrels nearby and nesting house martins. My only suggestion would be that - as we should be reducing meat and dairy consumption for environmental reasons - vegetarian breakfast should be the norm."

"Surprisingly nice hotel in a beautiful setting. Dinner and breakfast were very good and a reasonable price. Not buffet style. Staff very friendly. "

"Truely enjoyed the welcoming atmosphere provided by Steve and Tracy during our spring visit. Loved staying in their carefully renovated and maintained country house filled with nice stories, charm and great taste. "

"Old school stately charm, the staff make an effort to provide a luxurious experience in this historically grand hotel. Great to have a bathtub, bathrooms have been renovated. Treats and coffee/tea provided in the room. Friendly and cozy pub for visitors and locals with full menu available. Grand, formal dining room and halls for guests. Typical Scottish decor, plaid carpets with random sections of scenic wallpaper amid beautiful old woodworking. Apparently Queen Victoria stayed here while in...

"Hosts were very friendly and attentive, providing a great welcome and suggestions for dinner in the evening, as well as a recommendation of an activity to do the next day after we checked out. Bathroom was private for our room, though not connected to the room itself. The bathroom was very nice. Our room also had a sink in the bedroom itself. Bed was a bit soft - the mattress was not the most comfortable, but overall, no issue. We very much enjoyed our stay, and if we stay in the area again...

"A long established grand hotel, which although a little tired, is very well presented and room was really clean and spacious Staff were very friendly, polite and extremely helpful. You felt their genuine desire that they wanted you to enjoy your stay. Food was exceptionally good, both dinner and at breakfast. With a wide range of choices it was all too easy to over-indulge. Best Sticky Toffee pud we have had. "
