"Gavin and Christopher have put a lot of thought into giving you an enjoyable stay at the Manorhaus Ruthin. The rooms are decorated reflecting welsh designs. The dining room has beautiful sculptures. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfasts were delicious with a lot of choice. The coffee was excellent. Overall we had a great week end stay. The Manorhaus is only minutes walking into the centre where there are several excellent eateries/restaurants"

"Stayed here for a couple of nights in April 2026. Lovely large room in the Tower! Had both breakfast and dinner here each day. Food was excellent. Service slow the first evening fo dinner but fine the second evening. Historic hotel with amazing wood carvings. "

"Extremely spacious and well equipped with one exception, given the unusually warm weather—no AC, some fans, and no screens on windows that do open. The garden has a knockout location right on the river and some rooms also have this gorgeous view, including the huge bathroom with freestanding tub. There are however a lot of stairs. "Avoid! I stayed in a single room on the second floor of this pub. The room was very tired/shabby and in desperate need of a deep clean. Old carpet fraying around the edges, dirty splashes up the wall, etc. Sloping, creaking floor. The mattress was old and uncomfortable - springs dig into you all night. I’m always wary of non-white towels and bed linen as cleanliness is never as good - it’s dark grey towels here and grey bed linen. Thin pillows and duvet. And the TV didn’t work. I now see...
