"It’s decent, needs a bit of maintenance work. Our room wasn’t super clean, bits in the bath and the cupboards had black marks on them. Hallways smelled a little of manure … The drinks were expensive too… Half the spa facilities were not working… Otherwise, the peacocks are a nice touch and the landscaping is beautiful. "Such a quaint old Welsh building in a lovely rural setting just outside of the market town of Ruthin (it is in the middle of a static caravan park but a very pleasant one). A great location for exploring the many places to see around the area . Rooms are of a good size and well equipped. "Location is great. Hote Is basic as reflected in price as well as reviews. Restaurant at hotel was terribly understaffed - only one chef. Took an hour and 20 mins for food to arrive. Secondly, there was no daily cleaning or towel change and was not mentioned clearly."

"The house is very dated, the beds were uncomfortable, the rubbish bins outside were overflowing. The listing states a hot tub and the photos show that that’s what drew us to book but upon arrival there wasn’t one ! The staff on the phone were rude when they called to complain about our parking, we wasn’t even in at the time. They didn’t even ask if everything was ok with the stay. Would I recommend it no !"

"Quiet room though we were on the ground floor and had no view. Staff very friendly and helpful. Dinner and breakfast were fine; the best onion bhajis of my life so they are THOROUGHLY recommended. We went in the sauna and the outdoor hot tub- that was amazing. All in all, a good stay and I would definitely return."

"Quite a change since the takeover; breakfast remains excellent, and the room I stayed in has had a big makeover. Everything was really good, except for the new Car Park payment which is a bit complicated, you really need to download the YourParkingSpace app to help. I had difficulty using the QA code on the reception desk. Seems to be free parking though if you book direct ??"

"Perfect place to stay for our short visit to the area. We were made to feel very welcome from the outset. Staff were helpful and friendly. Cosy bedroom, comfy beds. All very clean. The food was tasty. We enjoyed an evening meal and breakfasts."

"The hotel is nice. The hotel pub is the same. And the staff is polite. The coffee machine DID NOT WORK in the room. You couldn’t even put the mug (from the hotel room not my personal one) to pour coffee in it because it is too big. In the room there are no sockets. I wanted to charge my laptop and other devices, I didn’t have where. There are two “sockets” on one side and the other of the bed STRICTLY for phone cables. Meaning you insert the cable directly.
