"Perfect place to stay for our short visit to the area. We were made to feel very welcome from the outset. Staff were helpful and friendly. Cosy bedroom, comfy beds. All very clean. The food was tasty. We enjoyed an evening meal and breakfasts."

"It’s decent, needs a bit of maintenance work. Our room wasn’t super clean, bits in the bath and the cupboards had black marks on them. Hallways smelled a little of manure … The drinks were expensive too… Half the spa facilities were not working… Otherwise, the peacocks are a nice touch and the landscaping is beautiful. "Such a quaint old Welsh building in a lovely rural setting just outside of the market town of Ruthin (it is in the middle of a static caravan park but a very pleasant one). A great location for exploring the many places to see around the area . Rooms are of a good size and well equipped. Restaurant menu was limited but is being updated and the prices were reasonable, as was the bar. Breakfast was enough to keep you going for the day. Never got to use the pool but looked inviting. "Quiet room though we were on the ground floor and had no view. Staff very friendly and helpful. Dinner and breakfast were fine; the best onion bhajis of my life so they are THOROUGHLY recommended. We went in the sauna and the outdoor hot tub- that was amazing. All in all, a good stay and I would definitely return."

"The rooms had bugs , there was air conditioning outside on the landings but inside the rooms were disgusting no air conditioning we were sweltering and uncomfortable all night I would never stay here again beware"

"We love staying here, so close to the beach, the shops and town, it has been our fourth stay, one of our stays was not very positive, I had to get housekeeping to clean the bathroom, unfortunately, I had to clean it too when we got back, still had long black hairs in the bath, all over the floor, the sink. I love this place for an away weekend but please pay more care to cleanliness"

"Husband and I have just stayed here for a week with our big puppy and can honestly say the place is so beautiful, Jo and her husband have done a fantastic job with the pod and making it so homely inside. The pod had everything available from bed linen, towels, tea towels, cooking equipment, utensils, toaster, microwave , iron, ironing board, hair dryer, books, log burning fire and more. Also for added security there is a fire blanket, fire extinguisher, first aid kit, smoke alarms and security...

"The house is very dated, the beds were uncomfortable, the rubbish bins outside were overflowing. The listing states a hot tub and the photos show that that’s what drew us to book but upon arrival there wasn’t one ! The staff on the phone were rude when they called to complain about our parking, we wasn’t even in at the time. They didn’t even ask if everything was ok with the stay. Would I recommend it no !"

"this is a great property they have kept some of the original features and putting some other bits up for show there is just about everything you will need ,is kitted out better then my house the kitchen is fully stocked with anything you would need main bed is comfy did not try the spare room is so much space and loads of parking we will be back soon"
