"This is a lovely little boutique hotel between Varenna and Bellano. The staff go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable and help you navigate the Lake Como transportation options. Walkable to Bellano to catch the ferry. Very comfortable bed and beautiful lake view from the balcony. The bathroom is all glass, which is strange, but with two people it is no issue. Just step on to the balcony to give each other privacy. A really beautiful spot to start our trip, thank you! "

"The Palce hotel sits at the base of Lake Como which is perfect location for exploring the lake itself or the shopping and history beginnning directly in back of the hotel. The concierge from checkin was wonderful and really gave great insight to the area, things to do in relation to how the weather would be and where to go if we had any questions. The rooms were spacious and I think I slept the best of their beds! We were on an 11 day tour and the sleep I got at the Palace was the best at any...

"An old, stately hotel, with works of art in the corridors, lobby and gardens. Wonderful housekeeping and laundry service. Very plentiful buffet breakfast included, where one can sit at a table overlooking Lake Maggiore. The dinner at this restaurant was excellent. The hotel is a 15 minute walk to the town of Stresa, where there are shops, restaurants, and a boat to transport you to the islands. The gym/spa/pool complex is amazing. "Immaculately preserved older hotel in the middle of Como activity. Must do lake boat rides are a few minutes away across the street. The hotel dining is better than anything nearby. Great variety for breakfast buffet. "
